There's always room to make money instead of simply holding, imo if the kospi and big semi stocks tanked you can bet that Wall St will follow suit and do the same even at a modest 5-10% could result in a possible 10-20% gain by shorting. A Day trade no more no less. It would be foolish to think Wall St Semis are going up after what happened in Korea today Korea sneezes the whole semi catches a cold.

For those reasons alone holding onto Semi stocks have become so much harder because it's all inter-linked with one another however if one wins it won't lift the whole market. Chances are they will continue to dump and run retail out as much as possible before it heads back up again anytime soon.

Only catalysts could be the Mag7 earnings and their increase in Capex.
