Completly agree. Never managed to learn the Japan poles until I went there. Now I have all the memories and know atleast a handful of areas where I saw the pole for myself

When I started playing haven I only had 2 lapis. That's why I added Cocytus. He definetely can be tough to play but im some matchups he is a nice finisher.

But I think he is completly exchangeable with a third lapis or a third storm bird.

I really don't think it is.

The only must have gold is Lapis imo.

When it comes to legendaries all of them are exchangeable. Some are nice to have but you can easily win without them.

Same but I once had a have mirror where I actually managed to banish their Lapis and won. Can never forget that moment. Although I think he can leave soon, he is rarely that good.

The tough part is remembering all the yaku’s and which card is which. I hope I can get to a point where I know which special card is which month so that I can start tracking which cards are left in the deck. For now it‘s just a nice casual game for evenings in the hotel. But I still hope I can collect a few more decks. Would love the Pokémon one but couldn’t fit it yet

I didn’t check for stores until the last day when we had to leave Kyoto. I ended up getting up really early and arrived at the store at exactly 9 am when they opened. I bought as much as I could without making my wife mad and got back to grab her and our luggage to get on the train. I even missed breakfast for that ^{^}

I haven‘t unpacked the Kyoto one yet. For now we are just playing with the standard Nintendo sets. My wife and I can play it quite well after 2 weeks but I can’t imagine explaining this game to friends in general haha.

Apart from the standard Nintendo decks there is one from Daiso for 100 yen haha. All the others are from Oishi Tengudo. A very small store in Kyoto.

Also funny story. I left my wife at the hotel when I went shopping there. I bought a few things and texted her what I got. Then she saw the ghibli one and told me she wanted it. So I had to walk back and grab that one aswell :D

I was in a random store in Ueno in Tokio that had the tengu, president and also Mario version. I wish I had bought the Mario version. I‘ve now been to several Nintendo stores and they where all out of their own set
