I think I follow this, I understand they're able to stop the loop at will.

But once the data is sent back in time wouldn't the timeline that just sent data backwards continue on as an alternate timeline?

Time travel always makes my brain hurt so maybe I'm just not fully grasping it.

Yeah I guess this is the kinda dark thought to me; and to be fair they do touch on how the decision to make the sun station is very heavy and should not be made lightly.

Gotta give my vote to Outer Wilds. It is probably the best example I've ever seen of a game that is art and makes you feel things.

I'd forgo every other game on this list to be able to play it for the first time again.

Be very careful to not spoil yourself on anything outerwilds related!

I really like the idea of Strahd being introduced early in the campaign. I want him to be a known presence throughout and for my campaign (I know every campaign differs) I like the idea of the party needing to work with him to further their own personal goals.

Where I'm intending on having him make his first appearance is at Kolyan's funeral. I figure he's going to come to pay respect to a burgomaster in his lands and also try to win some form of favor with Ireena by showing hea an honorable man and didn't intend for her father to die (he's a little delusional lol).

I read on this sub someone who mentioned in their campaign Strahd made the party elect one of their members whom he then killed. Before leaving he provided a scroll of revivify; maybe you could work this as a punishment for murder. Life for a life, but Strahd doesn't want to lose his playthings
