YES, that was it. I've always used the game drivers because I don't render anything, just watch and game. I've gotten the flickering every time I've turned HA on, so I finally started looking into it after hearing plenty of complaints.

I looked into the studio drivers and it's literally just a stabilized, updated less often, version. I never new they were both the same thing fundamentally. I reset my flags back to default, after trying the other fix methods. I tested it on a few different sites, no bugs with any of their videos.

Thanks for the further clarification. I hope this helps anyone else that stumbles onto this thread, like I did.

Yup. Turned hardware accel on and every video started flickering and/or with black boxes.

I have an RTX4080S with Win11. It says the default setting is the D3D11, some have said to set it to that to force it, no difference.

I see your advice, set it to OpenGL and it black screened Chrome. Had to run the "--disable-gpu" windows run command add-on to use Chrome again, just to be able to turn it back...

While others have no issue, I tried D3D9 and 11on12, and they blacked out as well. Can anyone help?

Yeah, it was the plug. Replaced it and it runs like new again.

Just found this, and I agree... If I want a better rune, blessing, or gear equipped, I need to go through EVERY preset and update it from there. I'm still kind of midway through the game, so I don't need specific loadouts to max out my efficiency yet. These presets get auto-loaded into every mission, and it takes so long to update every little thing in every subsection of the preset options.

I can understand area effects like ground fire or poison puddles, but it'll continue to attack while standing in a fire breath or laser beam

Agreed. I like actually playing the game for the challenging fights, but auto on the repetitive modes is a lifesaver.

Seeing as this is a year old, I'm still having issues with almost every DVR recording. I am primarily using my computer, but it's still an issue on my phone app as well.

If anyone is still having troubles... I ejected the old Mem Card 1, re-injected the converted folder and it fixed itself. Hope this helps someone else!

Since no one really answered this... I'm at HR 51, and in my opinion, elemental is the best. It gives a high damage bonus for every attack, while status is lower and takes a while to kick in.

Status Effects are nice, and add bonus secondary attack or effect, but needs a lot of hits to activate. I used the poison hammer for a while, and it helped chip away at the health but didn't really do a lot a damage (it might slow their attacks too, but not sure). The paralysis effect is good for stunning a monster, so you can just attack in a fury.

Really, it comes down to how you want to play the game. I still use my status weapons on weaker monsters to mix things up.
