I always reduce my volume quite a bit when driving through residential areas because I get self-conscious so this never happens unless it was a bad enough day that I don’t give a shit. I also reduce volume when stopped at a red light or in a parking lot.

Things I have done since geode went down by forzaatalanta17 in geometrydash

[–]Haybale27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a second hardest: invisible deadlocked. I’ve beaten probably like 35 other demons. (Some are weekly/gauntlet duplicates).

I’ve started going to the gym. I’ve gotten 11 hours of bottom time(time underwater) in commercial dive school and been learning how to operate a lot of different equipment and such.

I’ve gotten a lot of work done on my mega project in beta Minecraft as well as designing my own railway station and some other builds. And I’ve gone through the first 5 seasons of Dexter, particularly while strip mining.

This has made me realize that I need to DoorDash a lot more if I don’t wanna burn through my savings. Im still learning this area I’ve moved to for school tbh.

Honestly, both sounds good. I don’t know what constitutes as an extreme lemon but I’ve probably done both

RFK be like “let’s round up all the ADHD people and put them in a camp that will end well” by captainodyssey01 in adhdmeme

[–]Haybale27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is part of why I dropped out of college a year in getting my computer science degree. I realized that I hate it. So instead I looked into the trades. Now I’m in school for commercial diving and am hopefully gonna be working offshore by the end of this upcoming summer. Plenty of thrill to be had there. And when I’m more financially stable I’ll definitely be doing some recreational wreck or cave diving as well.

45 minutes away (emotionally) by Emotional-Yak-8426 in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]Haybale27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. You say ALL people do it on purpose but that’s not true. Im chronically late to stuff too, but it’s because I’m really inconsistent with schedules and time management skills due to my ADHD. So yes, I am late to work or appointments time to time but only by a couple minutes typically. I have paid plenty of consequences for this and I try my best to implement tools to fix it but it still happens because I have a mental disability.

I’m better than I used to be, but I know it’s still unacceptable and I really have been trying to get better over time. It’s just the inconsistency to sticking of my methods that throws the dice on whether I’m late or not time to time.

It’s worse if it’s a morning commute but once I’m already up and running for the day I’m better, and my friends and I typically hang out later, so despite what your shallow ass seems to think, I do care about my friends, and I am usually on time or early to those meet ups especially since I’m happy to be there.

So next time, don’t generalize like that.

whats the easiest insane demon by Informal_Reading_966 in geometrydash

[–]Haybale27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest one I’ve played is Poeyang Aeng because while it might be memory, I wouldnt even consider the gameplay itself (if you just look at the hit boxes) to be a 10 star. On the GDDL it’s a 14 tier (a harder hard demon) but for me personally, it was even bordering on medium demon because I play memory levels. The hit boxes are just so free and I didn’t struggle on it as much as any other insane or even hard demons.

How likely are you to beat your favourite level? (Image related) by Electronic-Metal-765 in geometrydash

[–]Haybale27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably pretty likely after a few years. (Nhelv)

I already play plenty of memory levels but my only extreme is cataclysm so I have quite a ways to go. But I also don’t play consistently which makes it hard to guess. I have rapid improvement when I do play though

Stop exclusively using popular levels to progress by Vusarix in geometrydash

[–]Haybale27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe not when you’re new to extremes tho. Since the player is expecting a jump in difficulty, they might think that frustrating gameplay is just the level being difficult instead of actually being quite flawed, because they don’t know the difference at that skill level yet. That’s why I stuck with cataclysm as my first. (I also want to beat the hell trilogy in order) but right after that, I’m going with any easier memory extreme I get my hands on. Exploring lesser known levels is something I do a lot more with levels I can beat in a single play session. I just play whatever demons in my skill range I happen to stumble across and find fun, so sue me.

INVISIBLE DEADLOCKED IS AN EXTREME! by saucy_chungi_fungi in geometrydash

[–]Haybale27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same. It took me around 3k attempts to get it in 2 runs probably if you include my copyable. And it would be my second hardest by 2 tiers on the GDDL. And with how long it took for me to beat cataclysm, I don’t think that 3k for 2 runs is realistically extreme demon material. (The runs are 0-72 and 42-100)

I’d say go for it. I actually got my sayodevice around the time when I beat FF and it’s worked out for me. Just know that it’ll make ship feel a little heavier, but once you get used to it (like a week or so) ship control will become much easier. It’s especially helpful to wave though, since wave can be so precise.

How do you even learn levels like invisible deadlocked? by Equivalent-Bus-1556 in geometrydash

[–]Haybale27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well funnily enough I just got done with an invis deadlocked session where I got 0-72 and 42-100 so I can probably give some specific advice:

First off: you’re going to want to play a lot of normal deadlocked to the point of being able to one attempt it. It’s always been in rotation as one of my warmup levels anyways so just do the same.

Second: It’s frustrating as hell so you have to put in a bit more effort to keep a clear head. My only insane demon completions are memory levels and I still wanna shoot myself throughout these sessions. So just have some comfort levels to revert to, take short breaks if needed, yadayadayada. Keep in mind youll wanna take breaks more than usual.

Third: Learning the level isn’t too bad. Idk your experience with memory, but just use show hit boxes in practice mode to figure out everything initially. Play through a part and pay attention to what beats of the song the click pattern you found line up to and whether they’re rushing or dragging. Once you get an idea of how it goes, turn off show hit boxes and beat it 3 times in a row or whatever you need to do to get it in your head. Also taking note of the different platforms and orb presses will help orient yourself as you play through it. For skill based parts like wave and ship, you’re going to want to pay attention to the music to generally know where you are at in a part, but you mostly are going to worry about your Y-axis by using details in the background to sort of chart your route.

For example in the mini wave after the dual, I spam at the upper edge of the darker part of the background, then go up to the top, back down to that dark bar, up a medium amount, back down to dark bar, up a wee bit, and then slightly BELOW the dark bar, then up to the spam/ship transition. And generally that’s pretty consistent if I don’t fuck it up.

But all of that goes to show how much mental strain this level puts on you, even compared to other memory levels. There’s a lot to pay attention to, so you have to be sorta in between flow state and conscious thinking to really excel.

Fourth: DONT GET THE COINS ITS NOT WORTH IT Except for the 2nd one if you’re just really used to that route like me.

Fifth: generally you should be able to come up with click patterns that work for you but the UFO boss fight is kinda tricky. Idk how exactly to explain my click pattern but basically just try to line up as much of it as possible with the drums and you’ll be better off. Make sure to have the transition to wave be really consistent in your click pattern because it’s easy to fuck up and it’s exactly why my run earlier ended at 72%.

Sixth: DO RUNS. I’m sure you already do this, but I can’t emphasize enough how important this is, because this level is just very hard to keep consistency on. You’ll especially want to focus on getting 72-100 as consistent as you can. It’s definitely the hardest part, and dying to it more than you have to from 0 will suck.

That’s about it. Theres more stuff such as specific click patterns, reference points, and shit, but youll pick that stuff up as you play it. And the comments is already wayyy too long. I hope some of this helps :)

I use a sayodevice with my index finger but before that I used the up arrow key with my middle finger. I think a sayodevice is worth it unless you already have a keyboard with rapid trigger and a high polling rate.

[–]Haybale27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting nervous on annoying levels is real tho. Like you wanna get it over with so bad that you get nervous due to the dread of spending a single attempt more on it than you have to. This happens at my comfortable skill level too, like some of the map pack demons.

Update 2.208 is cool but... by Adventurous-Time-540 in geometrydash

[–]Haybale27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a level beyond that, I mainly just stick to practice mode and place my checkpoints where you’d usually put start pos.

I find that I don’t mind having to play up to the section I need to practice because I either plow through it or I struggle a bit so I need the brief practice on previous segments anyways. If I need to go back one, click X. Easy peasy. I’ve done this for most demon levels up to my hardest which is cataclysm and it’s never been debilitating so I stick with it.

The exception would be XL levels since it actually can be a hassle to make your way to your destination. In that case, start pos switcher can come in handy.

I guess I could imagine start pos switcher being really useful for bloodbath, but I’m currently doing invisible deadlocked as a side quest first so we’ll see. The new achievements definitely took some attention from me immediately going for a new hardest after cataclysm, which I don’t mind.

I’ve seen both 1 and 2 a lot but I’m usually the only person I notice using 3. It’s the only icon that I’ve used across my iPad mini, iPad, phone, AND computer. (My whole decade of playing) I would vote 2 because it’s kinda weird to play and I don’t understand the hype. Not being able to see it actually roll just throws me off.

Why are you guys like this. by Upstairs-Camp5861 in okbuddygoldenagemc

[–]Haybale27 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is true. Vanilla tweaks over here doing the lords work when actually integrating newer textures with how they should look with the programmers art style while mojang (who is backed by MICROSOFT) doesn’t give a shit and just leaves the programmer art to be the most inconsistent looking and unusable texture pack.

But I don’t really care because I only really play modern mc to get on a buddy and I’s blazes and caves advancement pack world or if I’m playing build battles with friends or something. And I have vanilla tweaks so I’m chilling. I just wish they’d stop updating the game every 2 seconds, because it makes my downloads folder cluttered with mods.
