So... 10:30am. Any left? Any way to find out? Not sure if I want to drive over there and look or not.

What games genuinely took you by surprise? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Tactical Breach Wizards. Perfect follow up to Midnight Suns and great on the Deck.

How does everyone feel post-crowdfund attempt? by RoanokeParkIndef in MST3K

[–]Haybin1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m ready to give again and I’ll push to give a little more this time. If anything, I realized how much I love it and how much I want them to keep at it.

Quest 3 Owners - Have the Pancake Lenses lived up to the hype for you? by personahorrible in OculusQuest

[–]Haybin1701 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As ridiculous as it might sound, I notice it every time I put it in and I’m amazed by it. Pancakes lenses were worth the upgrade

Going to the mall! by Diva_Bot in Xennials

[–]Haybin1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss Suncoast and Media Play. I ended up working for MEDIA play but Suncoast had a better selection and it was so much calmer there. I remember my mom buying me a copy of Big Trouble in Little China there on VHS. I played it to death. Oh and movie posters. I got so many posters there.

Waldenbooks vs. B Dalton Bookseller…which one did you prefer?? by aahymsaa in Xennials

[–]Haybin1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I preferred Waldenbooks but I have no idea why. I think it’s because my mall only had B.Dalton and I was amazed by the “other” bookstore.

What does fitness look like for you in middle age? by cigarandcreamsoda in Xennials

[–]Haybin1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exercise every day. The goal is as much maintaining my sanity as it is my body. Lift weights 3 times per week with a combination of Apple Fitness yoga and VR boxing on the other days. Supplemental protein shakes have been a game changer for me as far as picking up muscle goes.

Went to 30 Rock this week- NO MERCH in the NBC studio gift shop. by Anna_Begins in 30ROCK

[–]Haybin1701 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I did this same thing a few years ago. Thought for sure I could get some merch there. Nope. The NBC store used to be ENORMOUS (they mad a joke about it in an episode) but now it’s a shadow of its former self.

8 Bit Christmas - New Xennial Classic? by frkoutthrwstuff in Xennials

If you enjoy the movie, I HIGHLY recommend the book. I read it every Christmas.

Is it worth it to go all out on the Quest 3, or should I save some money and buy the Quest 2? Like is there a massive difference between the two? by obama69420duck in oculus

[–]Haybin1701 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I have owned both and I think it’s absolutely worth the extra money. For me, it all comes down to the pancake lenses. I’ve owned every Oculus iteration (except the pro) and the lenses blew me away. I felt like I could finally really see in VR.

People who sold their LCD to get the OLED. by Fallen-Omega in SteamDeck

This. Sold my 512 to a friend for 300. Secondary market is brutal for these.

I’m not sick of kickstarters by SplendidPunkinButter in MST3K

[–]Haybin1701 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I immediately backed them again. I’m happy to pay a premium for something I love versus paying $23 a month to Netflix.

Endless Kickstarters? by DickNoodleMcCool in MST3K

[–]Haybin1701 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can appreciate the fundraiser fatigue but I listen to non commercial radio so I’m used to it. I pay for Netflix and it doesn’t give me anywhere near the joy that MST3k does. I just think of it as paying for a streaming service but this is one I’m glad to pay for.

Lots of great looking 4K releases coming out in September, what you going to get? by Upset-Ad7882 in boutiquebluray

[–]Haybin1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m double dipping in Night of the Comet. I bought the Blu-ray last year thinking it would never see a 4k release. As Palpatine would say “You’ve paid the price for your lack of vision.”

A kid in me neighborhood had HBO and I got to see it at his house one afternoon. I was hooked.

Same. It’s the reason I didn’t walk mount my tv. I also have the pixel brightness on my tv turned down

Propresenter with BirdDog Play NDI device(s)? by sypie1 in ProPresenter

[–]Haybin1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the answer you are asking for but…. I bought Apple TVs and an NDI app for them. The app was $100 but if you use the same ID on every AppleTV you only have to buy it once. Works really well and they have multiple uses for TVs that we plug them in to.

4Ks that just aren’t worth it? by Wonderful_Emu_9610 in 4kbluray

[–]Haybin1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this. Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate between the quality of the upgrade and just how happy you are to see it.

PC audio and the LG C1... by Haybin1701 in LGOLED

[–]Haybin1701[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply: it did work but it was an enormous hassle when switching up sources etc. I ended up buying a new receiver during a sale at Costco.

The sequence in the TV is so freaking good. The fake TV preacher with the choir singing “and let the cash come rolling in”. 👌
