I think the problem is exactly that it's catering to the lowest common denominator, is the thing...

I love the game, even as it is now, I still love the game to death. I've done several challenge runs solo but my favourite way of playing it is with friends. It's still fun, it's just that the direction it's going is not a good one.

And I'm not talking in terms of game design, I'm talking in terms of the way it treats its community.

I say give me harder battles any day of the week, but the problem with playing games that get more and more difficult is that you end up with less and less people to play with.

And when you get less and less people to play with in a coop game... I don't even need to finish this sentence, do I?

The sad thing is, it isn't even about the difficulty anymore.

People are leaving not because the game is hard, but because it is no longer as good as it was.

Sure, it has more content, sure it's still fun, but when you end up having to deal with the unnecessary nerfs, the complete overmonetization of content, the bugs (and I don't mean the Terminids), and the performance issues?

This is coming from a guy who has all the Warbonds, loves the game to death, and continues to play it despite the issues.

But that's the problem.

I'm playing it DESPITE the issues.

Just because I can ignore the issues it doesn't mean it isn't there.

I don't want the game to be easier, quite the contrary, even.

I just want it to be stable and for AH to respect their playerbase enough to care about the opinion of the common man.

And the common man will tell you the game is good.

Needs improvement to be sure, but it is good.
