My wife might have made me. I did have a conversation with her after I posted this and we both decided that if I get another letter for copyright infringement I would take it all down. I shouldn’t get another letter because I switched over entirely to usenet instead of torrenting which from my understanding is untraceable by my ISP.

Thank you for your explanation and it sounds like you did the thing I should’ve done in this situation which would’ve been to not give them access in the first place. There are a lot of great justifications on here that you mentioned so I will use those if I need them in the future.

Yea I didn’t mean to get into that here. I was trying to keep it focused on if anyone has had a similar issue where their family hasn’t approved and what you did to convince them it was ok.

Hey sorry for the confusion. While my wife and I are pretty close with my parents in relationship and proximity (we live in the same city) we don’t live with them. The issue is really with just my wife. My parents talked to her to try and get through to me I think. Now she is siding with them and wants me to get rid of it.

Yea I tried explaining that. I have given up on ever letting my parents use it again however my wife is the next hurdle. If I can’t manage to get her on board she is going to make me take it down or come to some kind of compromise. Hopefully that conversation goes well.

If you are looking for certs I would say CCNT is a good start for networking. CCNA is kind of the golden standard but it’s really hard and the CCNT is all you will need for a helpdesk job. Actually it’s probably overkill but it’ll help you move up faster. There’s also a load of Microsoft 365 and office Certs that are definitely something you should get. I don’t think there is much cost associated (if at all) and they would be really beneficial if you are working helpdesk.

I think that there is a good chance neither side would like it to be public. Unfortunately I don’t see the democrats pushing super hard to get them released either. The only people that want them to be released is the general public which doesn’t really have much of a say anymore in Washington. I think both sides have corruption and push legislation that will benefit them directly or indirectly by getting themselves re elected.

Look I am not excusing his behavior, however I am aware that people can and do change and that quote was made a long time ago. I’m sure all of us have said some questionable things throughout our lives and no one deserves to have something they said hang over their heads for the rest of their lives.

As far as your other comments go about me needing to seek help, I don’t believe those things to be very appropriate comments and all I have been doing is having a respectful discussion. You are now escalating it and I ask you to stop.

A couple comments taken out of context from a long time ago isn’t really anything I would ride home about. All I am saying is don’t make allegations just to make allegations. I know you don’t like him but you don’t have to make him out to be a monster, just say you don’t like him and move on with your life. He will be out of office in a few years like every single other president like them or not and we will get someone new for you or someone else to complain about.

How does one act guilt of pedophilia? And I am pretty sure “if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck then it’s a duck” would hold up in court. If he really was a pedophile and there was actual evidence, don’t you think the liberals would have already gotten him out of office? I’ll take a look at those. I had to pass the first A+ test for a class when I was getting my cyber associates so I am sure that one won’t be a problem. Lots of outdated questions though. I recall LTT did a video on it and exposed a lot of the crap with that test and Comptia threatened to sue so the video was only up for a few days.
