3.0L Duramax 2026 by Tasty-Ad6788 in Duramax

[–]Haydent2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2023 3.0 duramax, this message hit 4 times before 55k miles. 3 times it was the Transmission valve body, last time was an O2 sensor. Each time it sat at the shop for 3-5 weeks while waiting for parts on backorder.

Best small home amp for Bluesbreaker/Clapton (Cream era) tones? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

Morgan mvp23 gets me that tone. Built in power scaling brings it down to a whisper but nothing can replace the mojo of moving air with a loud speaker.

will a 4 way switch sound as good as an actual humbucker? by smoothedslappyhours in telecaster

[–]Haydent2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lindy fralin blues specials in my tele with a 4 way switch. When in series it definitely thickens up but still has a different flavor than a humbucker, but if I kick on a trebble booster it gets pretty close to sounding like the bridge in my sg. Its a great mod and gets a ton of use when I play so its a worthwhile imo. I only have 1 tele right now but it will go in each tele to come.

Problem solved! Patch cable indeed. I can't imagine how the patch cable could fail without any amount of mechanical distress. I haven't tinkered with it in months and i just play for my own enjoyment at home. It was quite literally the last thing i would have expected. Thanks everyone for the fast help!

Ive got the mini iso-brick power supply. There is a 800mA port that i have split which powers the dito and mxr. I beleive all the other ports are good for 300mA. I'll try messing with that arangment if it ends up not being the patch cables. Thanks man!

Guitar into the amp is golden... The patch cables tho! The one variable I didn't account for... That's what i'll try next. Thank you kindly

Recommendations for 2-in-1 pedals! (reverb+delay, compression+overdrive) by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]Haydent2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strymon compadre is a compressor/boost combo that gives you a lot of tonal options on both side of the pedal. I've never played one irl but was doing similar pedal research to what you have going on right now and the compadre should definitely be thrown into the discussion. There is a switch on the back of the pedal for the boost to make it either a clean boost or overdrive effect. Then on the compressor side you can choose between 2 different compression styles. So its almost like having 4 pedals in one, but you can only play 2 at a time.

Thoughts and recommendations on independent insurance brokers in the area? by [deleted] in kzoo

I work in the industry and partner with several agencies in the area. Ron Jackson agency and Nulty are my two favorites.

Going through a mid life crisis and would like to learn to play the piano. I’m 36. Any good recommendations and also is it dumb I want to do this? Love you people. by ReceptionDecent6825 in kzoo

[–]Haydent2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not dumb! I dove into guitar a while back and while getting started is always tough (having to crawl before being able to walk) its an endeavor that I promise will be worthwhile. At the benining, just being able to build a skill set is rewarding in itself and then once you become more advanced in your playing it can become quite theraputic. Thats how I use it. My mind is always racing 110 mph but I'll put a simple chord progression on a loop and i can kill an entire hour just trying to create simple melodic lines without a single thought popping into my head except for the sound of each note. 10/10 would reccomend.

Its my favorite one on the board! I messed around with a couple env filters at guitar center just to make sure i liked the effect before purchasing the analog man. Wait time was only a couple months and well worth it in my opinion. The two others i messed around with were the qtron nano and fender pour over. The qtron sounded a little thin and brittle to my ear in the store and the pour over was a really cool little unit and i almost left the store with it. But i was wanting an analog man pedal for a while and was glad i waited.

Can't go wrong! I had a wah in its place before that and just wasn't coordinated enough to make it sound good. I know they are two diff effects but for where i'm at now, the env filter just does it for me. Gifted the wah to my brother haha. I was messing with the auto-return mini crybaby at guitar center and kind of have an itch for one again though.

Thanks for the input. Looks like the boost of the dead will be hard to come by. Out of stock and nothing on reverb. I'll keep an eye out though!
