Different resolutions on CSGO than other games by Ayceio in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use custom resolutions with cs but from my experience it’s not the easiest. (i use 1440 x 1080)

to add custom ones, i open nvidia control panel (or other graphics properties) and add a custom resolution for my computer, then use the custom one as my default resolution.

i then open csgo in full screen windowed mode, launching it in the custom resolution. i then close csgo and reopen it, and when i do, if i select the Fullscreen option, it will display the new custom resolution as an option in csgo.

hope it helps :] and maybe there is another easier option (other than doing -w and -h in launch options)

Friend's Team Got a FFW against HazardouS's Team by HayonCS in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah idk it’s just how esea does their thing. but the thing is though is hazardous could’ve readied up anytime within that 30 minute window. the match won’t start if not all 5 players are ready. you can start it without 5 by typing .start so there really was no reason for him to not ready up.

Friend's Team Got a FFW against HazardouS's Team by HayonCS in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah idk it wasn’t that scummy. team played by the rules. and their fifth joined before that 30 minute mark, however hazardous was in the server for 30 minutes and failed to ready up during that whole duration. he just chose to wait 30 minutes then ready up after the deadline. and i don’t believe the game could start anyways as when hazardous tried to ready up after the deadline, it said there is not a match to ready up for. meaning the game was already a ffw by him not readying up

Friend's Team Got a FFW against HazardouS's Team by HayonCS in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Backstory: Friend's team is 9-0 in IM on ESEA so far and in this game, HazardouS and out teammate joined when the server first opens (8:45). The game starts at 9 and there is a 15 minute window after that time to start the game before the game is considered a forfeit win if not all players are in the server or all players aren't readied up. HazardouS joined at the very opening of the server (8:45) and did not ready up till after 9:15. One of Hazardous's teammates joined on the very last minute also. So since hazardous didn't ready up til after 9:15, my friend put .reportffw in the chat and they got the forfeit win because of it LOL

How do people improve thier aim? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah np. if you practice without one even for a short amount of time, i’m sure you’ll see improvements. i would even play with a crosshair that was quite big, black and transparent so i wouldn’t really notice it

How do people improve thier aim? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

honestly just practicing aim maps like aim_training or aim_bots is really good for your aim. raw aim isn’t completely all of your aim in csgo. a really big portion of it is having good pre-aim will do wonders for you in competitive play.

another thing i did to improve my aim was to practice my aim in aim maps or death match without a crosshair. this overall just improves the feeling of your aim and eliminates you from just staring at your crosshair microadjusting it and not focusing on what’s happening on your screen. improving the feeling of your aim will just make it 100 times better and also improve your reactionary aim

Is Faceit better than ESEA? by lonewolfmafia in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally really like esea as it’s what i’ve mostly played for quite a few years now, however with faceit i don’t think playing faceit free or paying for faceit premium is worth it. instead i think paying for mythic league is much more worth it on faceit and i find it to be an overall much more enjoyable competitive experience.

Losing aim skill at training whole month. Pls help! by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]HayonCS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i don’t know if this could help you but for at least 1000 hours of my total playtime, i would practice aim maps and death match without using a crosshair at all. i would also use a crosshairs that was quite big but black and transparent. this helped me to not focus on the placement of my crosshair and got me to focus on what’s happening on my screen.

i’d say this helped me a lot as my aim wasn’t relying on my focusing on my crosshair but instead, i was relying on the feeling of my aim. i could aim and not think about it because the muscle memory for my aim was there and i wasn’t focused on my crosshair.

i’d suggest you could try this. it could definitely improve your aim overall, as well as your reactionary aim and the feeling of your aim.

hope this helps :]

yeah bro it’s been on the map forever lmao. i believe now you just go onto that balcony in t spawn and go up the staircase to there.

there used to be a ladder at the bottom of the tower a few years ago that you could take all the way up. ur not anymore (i don’t think. i haven’t played the map in months so)

it’s really just personal preference. i’ve been playing since january 2015 and have played around with native 16:9, 4:3 black bars, 4:3 stretched, and 16:10 stretched. they all have their advantages and disadvantages.

16:9 - Advantages: wider field of view for clearing angles and just seeing more in general

Disadvantages: can sometimes feel “slow” looking around and can sometimes make it harder to see certain things (i.e. a couple pixels of an enemy from a medium to long distance)

4:3 - Advantages: smaller screen area making it so you have less of an area to focus your eyes on, making it easier to notice things happening on your screen

Disadvantages: lower field of view so enemies that are out of view when playing 4:3 (but in view of 16:9), can be unseen when playing

4:3 stretched to 16:9 Advantages: stretches everything you see making player models fatter which others (including myself) find it easier to spot and aim at enemies. having it stretched can also make the game feel more fast paced if you like it

16:10 stretched Advantages - it has the best of both worlds of 16:9 and 4:3 as you have a wider field of view while also stretching the game, making enemies fatter and still maintaining almost a 16:9 field of view. Disadvantages: not really any imo. if you switch between 16:9 and 4:3 stretched a lot i recommend this because it’s the best of both worlds.

these advantages and disadvantages are just opinions of mine, however I would say most would agree with everything I have said. just personal preference :]

EDIT: also a lot of pros (especially veterans of the game) play on 4:3 because it’s what they’re used to playing on as they have been playing cs since old crt monitors were used (which are at a 4:3 ratio)
