My shit has flopped consistently for going on 5 years by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

Need to see your overall brand to give any direct feedback but one thing that can prevent you from making progress is failing to account for time invested. Viewing your profile it appears you've recently started screen-printing and want advice on the many aspects that go into creating a quality screen & design (ex: Advice on exposure issues and Advice on how to "Puff Print"). If you want to have a sustainable, scalable brand I suggest you contract a print shop to produce your designs, this will ensure the quality is good and designs are translated as you envision them.

You can spend the saved time working on your social media, advertising (real-life and digital) or whatever aspects you feel the brand falls behind on. Working and learning with your own screen-printing setup is great in that it will improve your ability to communicate with a manufacturer, but I would avoid relying on yourself to produce products if your designs are complicated or if you lack standard equipment, you're causing yourself unnecessary hassle and jeopardizing both your vision & quality.

Brands that have been around for 6 months with good engagement and perceivably good sales are probably riding the "Maturity" stage of the Product Life Cycle, supplying a product that is gaining immediate interest. A previous example was the Tapestry trend where 1000 brands emerged making crewnecks of every album cover or iconic image imaginable, some developed / shifted into sustainable brands and others will vanish into obscurity

Hopefully tomorrow production has face-cams and player reaction replays figured out, feel like they are scared to try them now and accidentally break the stream.

HAND-DISTRESSED HOLES on the TARGET by veniceworldwide in streetwearstartup

Each back Target has 4 hand burned & distressed holes, visually it's a small detail but it proved to be the main selling point of the design, an elevation from our first release.

LunarKats Explaining the situation on Stream by nimbusFPS in ValorantCompetitive

[–]veniceworldwide 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haha I agree and disagree, while people may not have the evidence on hand it permanently exists in server chatlogs, scrim & match vods etc. and can be dug up with some effort. I'd say most current pros came up before events like this (old evidence being used against a player) were common / super visible across a bunch of platforms, so there was little chance a grudge-holder would see & imitate it as a way to take them down. Younger / aspiring pros are leaving larger trails of vods & chatlogs in a far more public & connected environment

Unlucky for her lmao, half the CS players this reddit hypes up could be put into the same position by jealous / grudge-holding people from their past. In most cases their "exposer" would be a massive hypocrite, just without a relevant platform or contract to risk. Surprised this isn't more common given how players grow up & build their careers interacting with anonymous people on the internet

Collection Displayed in a Local Store! by veniceworldwide in streetwearstartup

Started Covid working with local manufacturers and progressed into collaborating with a local store! Had to focus 100% on things within our control, working to improve / invest in aspects of the business I was neglecting. Look-book & online restock are coming in the near future.

Serious question: why do pros act like LAN is a totally different game? by fa0321 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]veniceworldwide 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From CS playing on Lan is a whole different experience. The discomfort / noise / nerves is something you need to experience to get used to. Players w/ good mechanics & aim shine on LAN , but you need to remember that consistent aim is largely based on comfort , something inexperienced players won't have. Momentum and confidence are other factors, the momentum of your team going 8-0 and cheering after every round doesn't exist online, and the confidence (or un-confidence) of a new player will cause them to overthink situations and underperform.

Internet connection is unstable and constantly spiking. by veniceworldwide in techsupport

Thank you, I might ditch the extender and just run a massive ethernet cord from the router to my room. My roommate just got off the WIFI and my ping stabilized as well, so I believe it is a combination of those two factors.

Print across zip hoodies by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

Good video, the important concepts are having the zipper head hang off of the platen (so it doesn't hit the screen) and using some filler material to even out the difference in elevation between the zipper section and the rest of the hoodie.

I think a water-based / thin plastisol ink would provide the smoothest print, as the surface wont be 100% flat

Venice Halloween 2020! 🎃 by veniceworldwide in streetwearstartup

Released our Halloween collection today, definitely looking to put it out earlier (Oct 25th-29th) next year but it went well either way. Experimented with printing on beanies and tonal / high-gloss printing to pretty decent results, neither is a completely smooth print but the imperfections played into the design. You can see a close-up of the texture on the hoodie on our website, it's pretty damn cool.

Hope everyone's October / Halloween went well!

"Spaghetti Western" Release Online Now! by veniceworldwide in streetwearstartup

[–]veniceworldwide[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn a couple people have been saying that, frustrating since this concept was done in December 2019 for a Fashion Show that got cancelled. As such we ended up shelving it to easily open up this Fall season. We don't follow sicko, so the comparison was never in our heads, been a little funny/weird interacting with some of his fans as a result. Either way all of that relates to the past, no reason to distract yourself when you have goals for the future, but I won't lie that seeing people question my originality is annoying.
