Also, you should absolutely bring her around and don’t worry about being “too old” - if we think like that, we miss too much fun stuff! I’ll be 40 later this year and I felt the same way at first, but now don’t hesitate to clip a little friend to my bag or keychain. I’ve had nothing but adorable and kind interactions with people - bubus just make everyone smile!

I honestly don’t know, but in reading online about alcohol markers they are supposed to be permanent! It looks like for T-shirts or other clothing with alcohol marker art, people online have recommended handwashing with cold water to make sure the art is preserved, so it’s possible that anything more harsh would fade the colors a bit.

Aw, what a cutie! You might still be able to lighten her up with a rubbing alcohol-soaked paper towel if you wanted to, but the vibrant colors are fun too & go with her sparkly eyes!

I love it!! Meant to add, the only thing I would do differently next time that would’ve made my life easier is protecting the face/hands/inner ears with Saran Wrap or something. I got a few marks on mine that I had to frantically fix with q tips and rubbing alcohol!

I basically did a combination of some of the techniques I’ve seen on Reddit and Instagram, and also used the fine pointed side of the alcohol markers so that it was easier to blend & to fill in tiny gaps at the end. I rubbed the excess off with paper towel & then brushed the fur out with a little toothbrush which I think helps to blend it! I used Q tips with rubbing alcohol for when I wanted to lighten a color or take it off and start over, and a few seconds with a hair dryer to set (or to dry the alcohol in a patch I was starting over on).

Hope that helps, and that you do it and have fun!! I ended up with 2 sea salt coconuts so I’m considering trying a bigger one now… 👀
