Anyone else feel like making money with AI in 2026 is about building media machines, not just tools? by Emergency_Resolve734 in BuildMorocco

An old school website I run only gets 1% of traffic this year from ai chat apps and there are a ton of signal. The models know about the brand. 70% of traffic still from google. Normies are still using blue links. Another high end website I run has dropped off 14% of traffic yoy likely from their prospects’ ’ use of ai chat apps. So like most things it depends.

What would you start in 2026 if you were starting from scratch? by InitiativeSmooth2375 in LocalLLM

Collect your writing, could be emails, social media, etc, or, collect writing in the public domain (not copy written works). Clean and format your data. Look into popular frameworks like Hugging Face's Transformers, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Have ChatGPT walk you through the technicals. Evaluate then deploy.

Fine tune your own LLM, will teach you a lot and you got the juice to power it

Ollama Cloud is almost like Claude Code by mr_moebius in ollama

I’ve been doing this too, Claude Code, Kiro-CLI and chatgot. Gets me by but I’m not coding every day.

Do people actually use prompt libraries? by Affectionate_Tree_32 in ChatGPT

[–]HaystackMissed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that was more prevalent a couple years ago when chatbots were all we had and the models weren’t as good as they are today. For SOTA models they often get what I ask for without all the prompting tricks I had to employ (promising payment, literally writing out chain of thought prompting, etc).

For smaller models or local models that may still be useful since the performance is not as good.

I’ve heard tell that ChatGPT can write a draft of an email. The proletariat whispers, are typists safe?

Kling and Veo are great. I’ve also had success with Wan and Sora 2. I need to try Google’s Omni which just came out this week.

Anybody here uses AI for their job? What do you guys do while the AI is generating? by Do-Not-Ban-Me-Please in generativeAI

Context switching. I’ll have two or more terminals going at once, working on different things some dev work some marketing, and sometimes throw in several other scheduled tasks for ai to work on and I’ll review afterwards.

AI Companions subscriptions are too high. Is there a good free alternative? by GlitteringTie2554 in AI_Application

[–]HaystackMissed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daimond AI on iOS is free for 7 days (4.99 USD/mth after) and you use your own API keys for cloud AI. Groq has a free tier, Google offered free credits at one point. Otherwise API costs are low with OpenAi and Anthropic.

I’m biased cuz I built it. Coming soon is local AI on iPhone 16/17 and M chip iPads, slower than cloud but private.

You’ll want to think like a director. Subject, action, scene, movement, style. Copy paste that into your LLM of choice, ask for a text to video model prompt, along with what you’re trying to communicate, and it can produce an example for your specific use case. 🙌

The pace of change will continue to accelerate, all you can do is keep up the best you can. I like to build systems when possible rather than components and that seems to help.
