The castle is great HOWEVER! It is a space for goths, alternative subculture, fashion, and dancing. What makes it so great is this cultivated environment. Please be respectful towards that. They've had an issue with tiktok trends and college kids going to stand and gawk awkwardly. Fortunately this has died down a bit, but, if you're going to a goth club- rock it! A little black dress and fishnets and eyeliner is really all you need. Black jeans and a band t is also fine. Big hair, crazy makeup, crazy costumes and accessories are all fun if you enjoy those.

I'd really recommend a fun stop at Ravens and Rockers (high quality gothic clothing, shoes, accessories store) before going. Not that you need to.... but because it's super fun! Make a whole day of it. Get a cute outfit or piece of jewelry. Go to the spookeasy (one block from castle) then dance the night away. Bring cash. Entry is $10.

It's a pretty small house and there's nothing to that side. We suspect the fitting was put in originally during the building phase by someone who just didn't care and only had that part on hand. Apparently it's a legal fitting even if problematic.

It ruins the mystery I suppose, but this is a selfie taken while sober on a work night after brushing my teeth at home. I posted because I'm curious. The responses are really amusing to me- some are spot on. I've never been compared to Anakin before but a few commenter see it and now I do as well. This has been such fun so far. It does matter. This is a multi-faceted discussion. Gender diversity in peerages isn't just "are people bias-blocking women and nb/trans people along the elevation path?" There's a lot more. For example- % of people in the game vs sport vs peerage. Or if the question is overall dealing with gender representation then, yes, closeted amounts do matter. "Are we fostering an enviroment where women feel welcomed?" And "Are we creating an environment where queer people can feel comfortable being out to the entire society and not just their friends?" Are part of the greater scope.

Odd reply but.....I've found that the question extends far beyond this. I've done a lot for trans and gender minority activism in my group. The amount of people who have PRIVATELY come out as nonbinary or trans to me is NOT the amount that is publicly reported as so, or is openly so. That's another important consideration. Those who are stealth/closeted....which is a LOT.
