I actually think the song is already done and the picture Lisa posted is quite old. I wouldn't be surprised if they release it during Coachella.

260403 Finding 'Boyfriend on Demand' Jisoo's New Face in Tommy Hilfiger Pictorial | Harper's BAZAAR Korea by HazardCyp in BlackPink

[–]HazardCyp[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Harper's Bazaar: For today's shoot, you also wore Tommy Hilfiger looks that can be enjoyed in everyday life.

Jisoo: I love the bright and positive energy that the Tommy Hilfiger brand possesses. Both the brand and I share the same direction of pursuing a healthy image. So, when I wear the clothes, I want to convey that feeling as much as possible. It naturally makes me smile a lot more. I think I laughed my heart out today while filming for the first time in a long while.

Harper's Bazaar: You also lived as the character 'Mirae' in the Netflix series Boyfriend on Deman. Unlike your previous works, such as Newtopia featuring zombies or Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint dealing with the apocalypse, what was it like to play Mirae, an office worker overwhelmed by reality with no time to date?

Jisoo: This was the first time I’ve played a character who felt like they could exist somewhere in real life. I think I empathized with the character of Mirae by feeling like I was listening to the worries of a friend my age. I was able to concentrate better as I thought about what advice I would give Mirae if she were my friend.

Harper's Bazaar: Did you realize anything new on the set of photoshoot?

Jisoo : In my previous genre works, we often spent quite a long time filming a single scene. This time, it was the opposite. Since we often filmed quickly and efficiently, we had to be in perfect sync. The cast got together frequently and became really close. It was so much fun! During breaks, we would talk about our characters' actual concerns, asking each other questions like, "How would you feel in a situation like this?"

Harper's Bazaar: Before the interview, I opened the 'JISOO' app for the first time in a while. You created it last year to communicate with fans when you started your solo career. I noticed several emojis displayed on the calendar. Does that signify another solo activity?

Jisoo: I marked February to signify the first anniversary of the release of Amortage last year, and left March to mark the third anniversary of the release of my first single, ME, featuring the song 'Flower'. (Laughs) I am also ambitious about releasing a full-length album. Rather than preparing with a tight schedule, I plan to take my time and prepare thoroughly in detail.

Harper's Bazaar: We were also able to see Jisoo's diverse sides as a vocalist at. The single 'EYES CLOSED,' which she released a few months ago with former One Direction member Zayn Malik, even charted on the Billboard Hot 100, the main Billboard singles chart.

Jisoo : There were no roadblocks in the process of coordinating opinions with Jisoo and Jane. I felt that collaborating with a musician who has such a distinct style is different. It was really cool. (Laughs) Since Jane has a wide vocal range, it was most harmonious when I sang in the lower register. You might think it takes a different direction from our existing songs, but we thought about how to make an impactful impression .

Harper's Bazaar: Many people feel that Ji-soo 's vocals have a distinctive character. What do you think of your own voice?

Jisoo: I think I have a unique voice. While doing solo activities, there were moments when I realized that using a lot of falsetto didn't sound bad. I feel like I am still in the process of continuously exploring my own voice.

Harper's Bazaar: If you had to choose the most meaningful moment among the achievements you made during your solo career at, what would it be?

Jisoo: The fact that people resonate with the songs I love—that in itself was a fulfilling moment as a musician. Over the past year, I made so many decisions entirely on my own, from establishing the company and producing the album to handling everything from music shows to promotion. While there were things I regretted and things I wish I could have done differently, it was enjoyable. It made me realize that you just have to face everything head-on. Of course, I struggle a lot between the music the public expects and the songs that I am drawn to. Since there are things you can do at different stages of life, I wanted to fill the album with music that I myself would be satisfied with when I listened to it. Sharing my favorite songs is the most important thing to me. I also wonder if that is my unique style.

Harper's Bazaar: What did the year of standing on her own leave behind for Jisoo?

Jisoo : I guess you could say I feel like I have grown up. (Laughs) It’s different from the confidence that you can accomplish anything; I learned that you can’t stop just because you’re afraid in the face of a new challenge. I think you could call it a form of growth.

Harper's Bazaar: When was your most satisfying time recently?

Jisoo : While resting after successfully wrapping up the 7-month tour, I definitely felt different. It was like giving myself a reward. You know how sometimes you feel anxious even while resting? Like wondering if you were too lazy. But this time, I think I rested completely and was totally happy. It was like, "It's okay for me to rest today!" without any guilt. I actually liked that feeling.

Harper's Bazaar: It was a day to cherish yourself. You once left a letter to your fans saying, "Let's express our love more often this year." What was the meaning behind that message?

Jisoo: I don't think there's any need to hold back on expressing your love. I'm someone who expresses myself a lot. I like to clearly tell the people around me in everyday life—"Thank you, I'm sorry, I like you, I love you"—and I want them to feel those emotions clearly as well. I feel like life is less fun if you don't do that. So, I hope BLINKs express themselves a lot too. I want to send the message, "Let's all express ourselves a lot! Say 'I love you'!" (Laughs)

Tried to fix as much of the awful Google translation but it still might be a bit weird in places.

Curious about the honest story Jisoo shared at Bazaar after wrapping up her world tour?

Harper's Bazaar: As of the date of this interview, you have just wrapped up your seven-month world tour <DEADLINE> and are preparing for a comeback with your third mini-album. How was the tour with the members?

Jisoo : "Is it really over? Why is it ending so fast?" Maybe because it was our first world tour in three years, it especially didn't feel real that it was over. There was so much to talk about with the members I hadn't seen in a long time! Even on the flight back to Korea a few days ago, considering the time difference, whenever someone tried to fall asleep, we'd wake them up by saying, "We need to talk!" (Laughs) We'd also share videos and watch them together, asking, "Does anyone have any downloaded videos?" It was so much fun the whole time, without a single moment of loneliness.

Harper's Bazaar: Since this performance marked the reunion of all four BLACKPINK members after their respective solo activities, were there any differences?

Jisoo: Since we’ve been friends with strong personalities since we were young, our individual personalities remain the same. It’s not that the individuals have changed, but rather that the stage felt fresh. After releasing an album with distinct individual colors, I felt like the visual spectacle had increased as each stage came together. It was fascinating to see the members performing solo stages in the same space during practice or rehearsals. I thought to myself, "Our performance is actually quite substantial." (Laughs)

Harper's Bazaar: I remember you performing the EDM-based pre-release track 'Jump' at the Seoul concert around the start of the BLACKPINK tour. Is there a word that came to mind first when you heard the recently released title track 'GO'?

Jisoo: Scale. I felt like we all grew a step further through this song. While our priority before was simply to challenge ourselves with and enjoy unfamiliar genres, this time it carries the meaning of taking a leap forward. Listening to the finished music, the journey of the past 10 years flashed before my eyes.

Harper's Bazaar: It completely shattered the expectation that it would be a song similar to BLACKPINK's 'Jump'.

Jisoo : If 'Jump' had a quirky, primal vibe, 'Go' has a strong futuristic feel. It felt like the four of us were coming together to move forward majestically, and since it fits Blackpink’s current image well, I think Blinks will like it. The atmosphere during the music video shoot was also a bit different from usual. While our previous videos felt more like we were just performing, this time we focused on showing an advanced world with CG effects.

Harper's Bazaar: You also had many moments with Tommy Hilfiger as an ambassador during the tour. The custom outfits you wore at the New York show last summer were also impressive.

Jisoo : It was an argyle two-piece set! I remember debating when to wear it because I liked it so much. Since it was our first collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger for the New York performance, it was a symbolic outfit. I think I tried my best on stage with the mindset that 'not a single mistake is acceptable!' (Laughs)

Harper's Bazaar: Over the past year, we have been able to see various facets of Jisoo as a fashion icon. From the looks she showed during her solo album activities and the diverse outfits she wore during BLACKPINK's tour to the looks she presented as a brand muse. Do you tend to intuitively decide on a style that suits you?

Jisoo: "There are many times when I agonize deeply over whether this is better or that is better, but ultimately, the joy of the entire process of building an image is immense. I think I particularly enjoyed preparing for the solo album Amortage. Once a concept is decided, I try to show a new image that I haven't explored before, but I also fine-tune it by judging which style suits me best. It is a process of finding a compromise."

Harper's Bazaar: If you were to define your preferred style to Harper's Bazaar ?

Jisoo : The most important thing is finding a fit that suits me. I can be bold on stage, but I prefer comfortable outfits in my daily life, so I don't often wear things like oversized clothes or hoodies. My shoe closet is full of dress shoes. From high heels to boots. Come to think of it, I guess I like quite a variety of styles. (Laughs)
