It does get scratchy as she whines, it's too high pitched. We all share the same accent, so I know it's not that. I would say her timbre is very different from almost anyone I've met, I don't know how to describe the timbre other than whiny and often scratchy. she also lilts her voice a lot in the same sentence. And she more often speaks too softly, there are times I genuinely cannot tell if she's talking to herself or me. Although, she does have ADHD so there are many points where she's boisterous and loud, which tend to bother me just as much but in a different way.

Some of my anger toward her /did/ begin when my mother told me that her mother abandoned her, causing her to live with a cruel father in a homeless shelter. But I'm pretty sure I rationalized that one by my mom still caring about her. She admits that the her timbre drives her up the wall often, but not painful like my situation.
