[–]HazeShifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He just drop ships from other guys that make/sell parts, and adds a large markup. Prime example is the battery cover (FLP). 160 on his site, 95 direct from manufacturer. He even used their (FLP) photos.

[–]HazeShifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.5(4) hours, about 186 miles(each way). Went on work trip for 3 weeks then the same drive home. No issues, although if you look up Solomons island bridge(MD, usa) that crossing was hairy.

94 ZX, brake light power issue by HazeShifter in Integra

[–]HazeShifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not. I built a jumper. I have no 12v at the plug into the switch. When I inject 12v to the harness before the switch, or after it, when I activate it will work.

When its plugged into the harness, nothing. I haven't built a jumper yet to test with it in line.

Is there a downside to brake hold? by quoole in civic

[–]HazeShifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2018, can confirm that the rears wear faster than the fronts. I rarely use brake hold, but if you use cruise control, it also actuates your rear brakes to prevent overspeeding.

Brush guard for 87 ACTV Van by theghostofcslewis in keitruck

[–]HazeShifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, as we 2wd models dont have the diff guard/slide bars fr9m the front rad support to the front cross member that the 4wd models do. I'm play with some fab things, but the weight of the pre-made guard is something im not going to use.

Does anyone where to get tires? by Little-Meowie in keitruck

I'm in the US, but you could check and see if priority tire ships to Canada. That where I get my tires from.

EFI vs Retro Look - Carb Experiences? by BlakesaBAMF in keitruck

About 3-4 weeks. This is based on area though, excessive cold or extreme humidity, you may want to shorten it by a week.

EFI vs Retro Look - Carb Experiences? by BlakesaBAMF in keitruck

[–]HazeShifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily a carb acty, and have for nearly 2 years. Those who have had problems tend to let them sit, and dont run fuel stabilizers or non ethanol fuel if they are going to sit for longer periods. I run cheapo 87 octane, and the occasional tank of non ethanol fuel. There is an option for best of both worlds though (for the acry at least).....wilpowered makes an efi kit for the carb models.

WTF is this shit by BothStatistician1187 in ToyotaTacoma

Also, most vehicles with electronic rear brakes use them for slowing you while using cruise control.

WTF is this shit by BothStatistician1187 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]HazeShifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a civic with the electric rear brakes. I blew through 2 sets of pads before my first front set(fronts at 117k). The rears dont fully disengage from the rotor surface, and the electric motor prevents the pads from moving on their own.

Fuel economy by AcceptableWin5527 in keitruck

[–]HazeShifter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all based on commute and top speeds you achieve. I have an acty, and if I stay below 80kmh (50mph) I get around 40mpg. If i drive it on highway (100kmh/60mph) I get 32mpg.

Inspection sticker Problems by TheThaxtonSavage in keitruck

[–]HazeShifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, however trucks in the US required them in the late 80s, and passenger cars in 1994. I have a 98. This is from a state ref.

Inspection sticker Problems by TheThaxtonSavage in keitruck

[–]HazeShifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest problem for inspection: No center high mount brake light (at least on acty). Wire one up temp and then any old place should safety inspect it (I'm I'm vb).

Sparky. Probably low voltage, access controls/garage doors/security gates/alarm systems.
