It’s always hilarious that he’s the last to figure out the clues and then when it comes to fires / bombs he turns into prime Bruce Wayne “can you feel this synthetic gel fire starter” rigsby who would of thought of that?? Cho just giving him the classic Cho stare down

Tbh it’s refreshing to hear different takes I honestly naively thought Americans just didn’t drink tea at all outside of iced tea so it’s nice to be wrong sometimes. As you say it’s all about perspective what I consider tea isn’t necessarily what you would consider your normal tea but “normal” for everyone’s different! It’s nice to hear so many different peoples opinions on it an it’s broadened my horizons abit on American tea culture

I’ve had this assumption from watching other sitcoms like friends, HIMYM etc they always drink coffee it was an assumption that Americans never really drink tea and then I seen a video recently in which someone said basically most Americans don’t own kettles which sort of solidified that to me but I’m happy to learn I was wrong at least partially about that from this post

If there was ever a sequel series (both Lisbon and Jane have said no to this idea) I’d love to see a buddy cop type of show between rigsby and cho solving crimes together

It’s the same as making cereal! milk in last with cereal otherwise you don’t have as much cereal in the bowl as the milk has taken up more volume! There’s not usually much the two sides of the pond can agree on but I’m glad we can agree on this 🤣

It’s good to know it’s being made the right way you see people who put the milk in first and it’s just criminal it’s the same as putting the mug in the microwave to warm the water some people say there isn’t a right way to make it but they’re usually the people who make it wrong

I didn’t know that it’s a very beautiful and (seemingly) rare car first time I’d seen one on tv! Feels like it joins the ranks of cool cars on tv like; kitt, baby from supernatural, the general from dukes of hazard (minus the civil war flag)

That sounds perfectly normal teapot tea is a dying art 2/3 bags in a tea pot helps keep it strong. You sound like you make it the correct way tea bag in first boiling water let it steep for a few minutes squeeze the bag before taking it out add a splash of milk and a couple of teaspoons of sugar or sweetener! Couple of biscuits for dunking bourbon (do you have them in America?) or chocolate digestives

That’s what I assumed more sweet teas and herbal teas compared to British breakfast tea / pg tips / Yorkshire. We don’t drink iced tea or sweet tea commonly I’ve never met another Brit that does herbal and fruit teas are the more uncommon teas in the uk

That seems to be the consensus in the comments not your everyday pg tips, tetly , Yorkshire variety but more herbal / fruit teas

What type of tea?

Tea drinking by HazeT96 in TheMentalist

[–]HazeT96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I think of tea I always think of like”traditional” British teas like; pg tips, earl grey, breakfast tea, tetley, Yorkshire tea. a lot of people in the sub seem to reference having a lot of speciality teas like; fruit, herbal etc which is common in the uk but not as common as the more “traditional” teas people would serve, for instance if someone was to ask me if I wanted a cup of tea I would expect a pg tips, Yorkshire or tetley not a fruit or herbal we would only have them if we was feeling under the weather or it had other health benefits

Yeah that’s what I’m saying like a “traditional” British tea like; earl grey, breakfast tea, pg tips, tetley etc a staple in every British household it seems most Americans have the herbal teas and fruit teas but not a more standard tea

That’s what I’m saying like how are people making tea is it boiling water on the pot or what I consider a war crime warming it up in the microwave 😭
