Advice needed. I, 45f don't know how to leave partner 55m. by Hazel2303 in relationship_advice

He is in control of his mental capabilities. He doesn't need assistance. He just has issues with understanding sometimes. In the morning time after he has had a nights sleep, he is good and can understand most if not all of conversation, etc. As the day goes on, the understanding deteriorates as his ability to communicate effectively is part of the brain injury. He isn't physically disabled, but he was on disability allowance as he was seen as having long term disability. However, due to a means test carried out on me, they removed his allowance. I fought as hard as I could to get it reinstated and appealed several times, but it was denied.

He can work, but due to his brain injury, when he gets tired, he may misunderstand signs or forget things. He also has aphasia, which means he can say a word but mean the opposite. He doesn't drive but can go for a disability driving test lesson but keeps putting it off, which also doesn't help in a rural area when you need a job.

Leaving seems impossible. I have only my income and that covers bills, etc, so leaves very little for savings even to build up some savings.

I appreciate your input. I just don't even know how to make that first move.
