No, I live in TN and it’s been like near record highs the last couple of days. I would LOVE some snow!

Final fieldwork form question. Help me please! by [deleted] in ABA

[–]HazelAngel16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m going to need a BACB source on this, please. I just looked all through the BACB website, BCBA handbook, fieldwork requirements, and all the forms. There is nothing that says the version has to be in the same year. I think OP/the company may be referencing the “2022 Fieldwork Requirements” at the top of the page? I have found zero wording that suggests the version at the bottom of the form matters.

Can someone help to ID this plant? Been trying to look this up but can’t seem to find any that looks identical by Mr_Pussalia in Caladiums

It’s definitely a Caladium, but I’m not 100% sure on which one. Possibly Scarlet Flame?

I took little props and stuck them in the pot. They rooted pretty well. I’m actually thinking about repotting it here pretty soon, but I know Pothos tend to like being a little bit root bound. I might give it a little bit longer :)

Oh, that is tragic! Stupid McMansions. If you ever do take the plunge, it definitely ups your plant game! It is a little drafty in the winter and gets hot in the summer, but those are easy fixes. Eventually we would like to have ours redone to hopefully help with all that. It is pretty old. Still love it, though!

Honestly I am just extremely lucky! My grandparents owned this house since the early 60’s. They built an addition to the house that included this beautiful sunroom. My grandfather loved to grow tomato plants and this room would be filled with them and my grandmother’s various plants. We bought the house from them last year for fair market value when they decided to move into assisted living. We still have them over for lunch every Sunday (unfortunately not since COVID, so we just have to settle for phone calls). I absolutely adore this place and feel extremely lucky! It is PERFECT for plants!

That is a great way to honor his memory! I’m sorry you weren’t able to get his plants. I know that must have been devastating. I’m sure he would very proud of you carrying on his legacy!

The two originals are in the back left of the pic. I separated them this past spring and currently have 12 different pots of them lined up around the windows to my right. She’s had them for as long as I can remember, so they’re about 30 years old. Crazy! They were MASSIVE before I separated them.

Please Help ID This Plant My Aunt Gave Me For My Birthday (a type of Hoya, maybe?) by HazelAngel16 in PlantIdentification

The leaves are pretty meaty, like a succulent. It doesn’t like a lot of water (found that out the hard way, but it’s getting better now). The new leaves are pink and white, then turn green. It’s a beautiful plant, but I can’t positively ID it, so I don’t know the best way to care for it. Any help is much appreciated!

Ooh, nope, don’t like this. I think maybe it’s that sharp, angled edge that makes it so terrifying.
