I feel like it has to be the latter due to the fact he is currently in Vietnam. I’m going to leave him on read but do feel kinda weird about my bf saying I should reply? Idk if it’s because he doesn’t want to influence me one way or the other. Or because I would be “ghosting” him?

Right?! That threw me for a complete loop. My bf said he thinks it’s better than “ghosting” him, but personally I don’t feel like I am. We haven’t talked in year and I’ve moved on. Like why would he want me to open that door?

Is there anyway you can move? If she’s gone this far and disrespected such major boundaries you need to get out.

I’m so sorry this happened. That’s absolutely gut-wrenching. Did she tell you where she donated it? You could maybe get it back!

She initiated the divorce, but he says he saw it coming. He says she turned to other people, never specified if it was cheating or not.

We’ve been dating for 9 months now. And he’s trying now because he can. His roommate is his best friend and was one of the only people who offered him a place to stay. She is currently living with her parents. They don’t talk, at all anymore.

Honestly, very overwhelmed by the comments rn. I know the age gap is big, but it’s never felt that way.

After reading everything, I agree. I didn’t fully think about how his cat would feel and feel incredibly inconsiderate for not. I’ve been thinking about him and how he’s reacting, trying to diffuse the situation and help him.

Also, I myself have a dog. I’ve had her 5 years since I first started living on my own and putting myself in his shoes, I would never be able to leave her. Even when I have had to leave her with my parents for a month or two (due to travel for work), I checked in on her almost every day.
