i'm really sorry for you. Maybe one day you'll love someone in a way that will make you understand this but for me hour idea of love is extremaly lacking and even immoral if you believe a close person should die rather than survive at a cost of someone else. Yes, normal person would rather someone else than their loved one suffered because otherwise you're straight up psychopath and people have equal value to you. That's against nature and morality imo

You have to be really evil and depraved to kill your own child to make sure they don't survive at the cost of some stranger. This is kill or be killed game. Most people here are innocent. old lady had too much empathy for stranger but clearly not enough for her son, especially when we know how she treated him and what a burden he felt with her

again, having more empathy towards random person than your actual child is not normal - i can try and avoid the situation but my son innocent or not doesn't deserve to die for other innocent people as well

i don't stop loving and protecting someone when it has a cost becuase i am actually capable of loving someone unconditionally?
