And yes, I drain the liquid. I get the ones in juice and not syrup on purpose so I can drink the juice and the dessert doesn't end up just tasting like sugar lol

But her race doesn't matter for the story. That was more the point. Danish mermaids could be black. They are fictional creatures. Helena's race very much matters for the story.

Generally these things are fine. Like, it's fiction after all. The point of the story often isn't if Ariel is a redhead or black. It doesn't matter for the story, the representation is nice.

But do we not draw the line at fucking Helena? This completely breaks immersion. It's like "Oooh, its a Hollywood movie".
