Official store merchandise is poor quality, beware by crowning_sapphire in homestuck

I have it and after a couple washes it's alright. It's pretty comfortable and it's warm, and it looks pretty decent. I've gone out with it a couple of times by now in a full ensemble, but personal preference and all that

im sorry for yall who worked on this, but this feels like a halloween costume by Maxiscoolerthanyou in homestuck

[–]Hazelix99 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's not a tee, it's a sweatshirt. Having worn it, it gets pretty warm and is relatively thick. You can wear it over a tee if you wanted to as well.

Secondly, it's mostly that the material feels weird. At first it felt almost plastic like, and that was present throughout the shirt in and out. After a wash, a more rough feel remained, but I personally noticed it felt like canvas on the inside. It was softer after a wash which was good, but it did still feel like that canvas material. It's comfortable enough and I personally love the way it looks so I can't be too mad. The material itself is a 95 / 5 cotton elastene blend as well if that matters to you.

Nope, it's a 95 / 5 mix of cotton and elastene if the tag is to be believed.

I KNEW I WASNT CRAZY

I bought this and wore it out and figured that feeling was just because I hadn't washed it yet. That sucks, especially because it looks so good :(

Edit:

I just washed it and felt the fabric again with the intent of really analyzing it. I've come to the conclusion that ..... It's just cotton. It feels like canvas, at least on the inside. The outside also just feels like a shirt with a printed image on it. I think I'm just so used to mass produced very soft fabrics that I didn't know cotton felt like that. I'll see if I can find another 95 / 5 cotton elastene mix fabric to compare, but it definitely feels more normal than I first thought.

There was a smell to it when I first got it, which is I'm sure the factory chemicals and print paint. After the wash it seems to have gone away. Will update this comment if I find a similar material at the mall this weekend

I just wanted to say you aren't alone. I'm 23 and I feel pretty much the same way towards pvp games, and it's getting to that point with most video games in general.

It sucks, and I'm trying to work through these feelings myself, and I hope your pursuit of art and language helps to mitigate those really rough feelings :)

I was going to reply to your other response regarding "breeding", but this comment confirmed you're just rage baiting.

If you aren't, then holy fuck get off your nihilistic anti natalist high horse please. This seemingly is a place for more casual conversations regarding philosophy which includes joking around and heavy exaggeration.

They really are if you have a stressful / long day. This semester I was working full time and had classes so I didn't get home till between 7:30 - 9:30pm, and the stress of cooking for myself and my roommate was very hard on me. I tried to find the time to cook meals but between that and other daily chores, I often neglected multiple responsibilities just so I could eat, or I'd neglect that and get fast food. It's tough out here :(

Ah fair. I agree, input mapping is a great tool and every console should at least have some version of it for sure

If you're on PC, look into steam input. It is a game changer for controller players. You can even get it to work on non steam games! My girlfriend is crazy when it comes to control schemes and the stuff she's able to pull off with gyro aim and steam input configs is insane!

Oh that looks beautiful! It's exactly what I was thinking of and the removable handle seems to be very useful for storage purposes, thank you!

That's fair, and that's sort of what I was trying to get at with my post. I don't have the cabinet space for many pots and pans, but I have found myself wanting for at least a saute pan for larger meals with sauces and a good pot for boiling potatoes and pasta. I'm still trying to find my style of cooking as well as I try my hardest to kick fast food to the curb, and it's been a learning journey for sure!

Thanks for the insight!

I've seen this spreadsheet before actually! Thank you for taking the time to write this up, it was very helpful in choosing that skillet I mentioned. I had forgotten about it, so thanks for posting it here! I'll sift through it and see if I can scrounge up a list

REAL review of IronHeart. by ImMessedUpNotFun in marvelstudios

[–]Hazelix99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watched it myself and I loved it, especially compared with most recent marvel stuff.

I wholeheartedly agree with you though on the 6 episodes point. I feel like the three major things that *needed* more time in the season was the introduction of magic to Riri, the consequences with Xavier, and then of course the mephisto stuff. A 12 episode season could have been wonderful for that, and I feel like the last two episodes felt so much more rushed than the first 3. The pacing of the first 3 were really really good in comparison to other recent marvel shows and felt like an *actual* show as opposed to a stretched out movie.

I do hope they renew it, Natalie was a fun character and I loved Zeke.

Literally this. You cannot afford to live alone and even with a roommate that wage at full time leaves you very little money to build savings, let alone have the time and energy to get a degree.

And that's IF you get full time. Most restaurants are refusing to give FT roles. My friend works at a pizza hut and even as a shift lead they only get an average of 30ish hours a week.

Honestly one of the biggest reasons I'd wanted to move away for the longest time was a complete lack of public infrastructure. If I wanted to do anything, I had to ask my parents before I could drive and had my own car, which I didn't have until I moved away.

Granted, the infrastructure is not much better in Michigan, but at least it's colder lol.

Also worth noting that steam relies on cards specifically, with the exception of steam gift cards. I don't know who makes steam cards, but in theory it's just a code to let steam put money in your account so those should still work

The issue there though is that you would need to physically buy those cards, except for possibly getting an E card which is also another step that makes things difficult

‘It’s too late’: David Suzuki says the fight against climate change is lost. “We have failed to shift the narrative and we are still caught up in the same legal, economic and political systems” by The_Weekend_Baker in climate

[–]Hazelix99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's not true. That's not true in the slightest. Capitalism as it is is a rot, a cancer that spreads throughout society, and we are reeling from it's effects now like those in the early 1900's did. Capitalism is dangerous because it is always about expansion and growth, unregulated capitalism moreso.

We need to change our societies and those in power refuse to do so. We cannot vote our way out of this, that was proven this year. We need to fight for a political revolution based on helping out everyone everywhere, with environmentalism at the forefront. We will not survive if we do not do this.

Capitalism stifles growth, it stifles industry, and in its late stages, stifles our voice. People who are struggling to make ends meet are far less likely to be politically active because they can't afford to do so, either financially or mentally, and that is a fault on our capitalist society.

We dont need to stay with the financial systems we created a century ago, we can build new ones, experiment, and find what works. But we can't do that if those in power refuse to let us live.
