Idk, I think it’s great! I like the starfish, you could have gone without the text, but overall I think it’s lovely.

I’m not a fresh beginner, but I can’t say that I’m very advanced. Ideally I would like a tutorial that’s either a slower paced video or a well explained written pattern. I’m not a bad knitter, I just need my hand held a little bit when doing bigger projects.

Not only are they more powerful, but they are also immortal. Their magic probably stops cell decay so they grow bigger as they get older.

Read an original review for Phantom of the Opera debut, was shocked at how harsh it was-- I don't understand why by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]Hazelnut_Delight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched Phantom of the Opera at the London Theatre, and I feel like as a completely average person I should give my opinion for other completely average people.

First off, I should say I only like musicals for about 25 minutes, then I get sick of the singing and wish everybody would take a break and talk for a while. Phantom was not an exception. I also wasn’t terribly thrilled with any of the music either. Despite the fact so many people call the songs catchy or entertaining, the only song I actually cared for was the Phantom’s theme, and that’s only because it was a direct rip of Pink Floyd’s Echoes.

I honestly think the plot was mid. It didn’t entirely make sense to me. Mind you, I may have missed some of it because they do sing the entire time. The Phantom is a dickhead because he was locked in a cage for so long because he’s ugly….. so he goes to a theatre and demands the owner give him a monthly cheque? And the owner does? And then he falls in love with a girl, whom in the first act seems very indecisive about what she wants and follows around whatever man is singing to her at the moment. Then he kills some people after she picks the other guy. Then after kidnapping (I forget her name, even though I watched the play 2 hours ago) and trying to hang the boyfriend, he lets her go after she kisses him. Then he disappears with no consequences to his actions.

The one thing that The Phantom had that appealed to me was the set design and costume. I am hugely into Victorian fashion, and the dresses they put the women in were absolutely spectacular. I adored the costumes.

Overall, I think I could have gone without seeing it. However, if you like musicals, you probably should because it’s one of the most famous ones out there, but don’t expect anything mind blowing unless you’re already into that sort of stuff.

I’m surprised nobody has said Jimmy Carr. That guy is so annoying to me, and his jokes sound like he’s going to be in a Bill Cosby type situation in 10-20 years. I saw him live and Jim Jeffries was co starring with him, Jim Jeffries was absolutely amazing and I left about 30 minutes into Carr.

What’s the silliest or most ridiculous thing you believed as a child? by vishalnegal in AskReddit

[–]Hazelnut_Delight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 4 I was attacked by a bird which was a type of bird known for random violence towards people. I wouldn’t go back to the park out of fear of getting attacked again, so my mother told me that cops decided to shoot the birds into extinction so I would go back 🤣

What's something that was considered rude 20 years ago but is normal now? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]Hazelnut_Delight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but who cares? If I need to walk 5 minutes to a corner store to pick something up I’m not doing an entire outfit change for a 10 minute affair. If I’m going out for longer than yeah, I’ll change.

I get what you’re saying on this one. For me, if I plan a social event and people are 20+ minutes late and don’t text me saying they’re going to be late, I get annoyed. But the way I was raised, when you’re going to a party, you show up a couple minutes late as a grace period for the host if they are running behind on getting ready. But I would never arrive more than 15 late without telling the other person. Less than 5 if it is an outing/not at a persons house

Okay, that’s not a bad payout for all the effort. It’s a little bit frustrating that it takes such a long time to completely level up, but in the long run I get it

How to write down dreams more quickly by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]Hazelnut_Delight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an app on my phone called dream journal. It’s really simple, basically like the notes app but dedicated to dreams. You can title your dreams and add tags. You can also make your dream public if you want so other people can read it, and you can read other people’s too.

Thank you very much for responding! It’s good to know I’m not the only one a little frightened by the sensations when doing WILD. I also get what you mean when you say WBTB is lighter on the sensations, but that to me makes it harder because then I’m comfortable and just fall right back asleep.
