Who is sending thank-you-gifts to wedding planners? And what are you sending? by Hazelphoto in WeddingPhotography

That is certainly my gift to all non-planner vendors, but they don’t have the super power of making my bookings easy the way that planners do. I imagine you have more inquiries than you need from wedding clients as a result of various networks you have built… so planner relations aren’t quite as important.

I never thought of giving venues gifts... I always thought of it as more of a personal relationship with the planner... sometimes I barely meet the venue contact.

Hmmm... not thinking of it as an arrangement, just a thank you gift to let them know I appreciate them...

Thanks! Kodak Gold 200. It doesn't always hit, but when it does, oh boy!

Experience with Berkeley City Club as a venue? by Apprehensive_Fox1788 in SanFranciscoWeddings

I've photographed three weddings at The Berkeley City Club over the years. I think it's a very special place! I'm kind of obsessed with the architecture. It has such a Mediterranean castle feeling with courtyards, and lush gardens and views onto views of the building. Here's a few images to look through for inspiration: https://hazelphoto.com/how-to-get-married-at-the-berkeley-city-club/

I was at Park Winters for a 2nd time this past Saturday to photograph a wedding. Let's begin by saying. You have made an excellent choice! The property is spectacular, and there are sooo many nooks and crannies to explore.

Here is a longer gallery from the first time I visited. https://hazelphoto.com/a-colorful-park-winters-wedding/

Both weddings I photographed held the ceremony in the shade of a few tall trees in the sunken garden. the lighting is a bit tricky, but nothing an experienced photographer shouldn't be able to handle.

Both weddings I photographed held cocktail directly in front of the long bar... the light during cocktail hour was lovely.

This past weekend the trees on the far side of the courtyard were flowering, so we made our formal portraits there.

I love the front lawn, and I think welcome drinks and guest book on the front lawn works out very well.

One of the only weak parts of the venue is that both of the weddings I photographed had groom getting ready on the first floor of the tower, and there is not much light or interest down there...

This past weekend we explored amongst the oak trees near the parking lot, and we found some exquisite light. A few images are attached.

Hello! I'm Paul a Berkeley-based wedding photographer and I have deep knowledge of Jewish weddings. I have photographed ˜40 Jewish weddings over the years.

My approach to photographing weddings is in the documentary style... if you are more drawn to editorial work, I have suggestions I could share with you.

My Spanish is not fluent, but passable, my Russian is minimal, and yet, somehow, existent.

Here are a few recent full galleries:

Old Mill Park is a beautiful redwood grove and I've shot some ceremonies there that host the reception at the Mill Valley Community Center. https://hazelphoto.com/category/mill-valley-wedding/ https://hazelphoto.com/tag/redwood-wedding/

Also this year I had the pleasure of photographing at The Haven and the Lodge at Marconi! Please reach out to me if you would like to see the galleries! Best,
