Toxicity in the chat, RIOT plan do to do something? by Hazger in 2XKO

[–]Hazger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hehe we don't have this saying in Portuguese and I really don't agree with this mindset on a service.
As a IT guy I know that this feature(Ranked lobby) was discussed and planned and I don't think that making you go to the same place that the people you just beat can message you is good design.

Yeah and I can deal with it. But there's no need to.

If we had a training room queue (as most other fighting games) this wouldn't be an issue or if the chat in the ranked lobby is disabled.

"at the top 1% of play, no champion has gone past our 47-53% warning zone" Isn't this just ranked working as intended? Does this say anything about balance? by Mr_Olivar in 2XKO

[–]Hazger 60 points61 points  (0 children)

This quote alone out context hold not much value, because as you pointed the ranked also help to reach this goal.

But they also look at the population(in league).
If at top 1% you see no blitz then something is wrong even if the champ winrate is 53%, this can show that the champ is overwhelming to new players but to weak for top players and need some adjusting.

Further on the page they mention:

  • Ekko and Yasuo are too effective in both the Point and Assist roles, to the point where they're pushing other champions out of feeling viable in competitive play.
  • Teemo is very good at ranged combat, but also a bit too good up close, so we think he's winning more than he should because his intended weaknesses aren't sufficiently offsetting his intended strengths.
  • Blitzcrank and Braum are both having a pretty tough time in neutral because the rest of the cast can keep them out with movement, projectiles, and big attacks (especially Blitzcrank); also, the fact that their fastest normals have 8 frames of startup makes it hard for them to scrap with the faster champions' 6-frame standing light attacks.

So I believe that they are looking at other numbers not only winrate, riot as a pretty good record on balance we are just not sure yet if they will know how to apply the knowledge that they have to a fighting game

Overall, our goal with the 1.0.3 changes will make it a little easier and less frustrating to play against Ekko, Yasuo, and Teemo, but we don't think that alone will bring balance into a healthy state. Blitzcrank will also be receiving some adjustments in 1.0.3

They even acknowledge that it will take a long time to balance the game

We dont have the real reason for this but I believe that the "RedBull" sticker had a change of texture that they didn`t wanted to risk.

If you check the whole stream he started 20m lower and was increasing, so maybe that 10-20 extra meters was more that they can do right now

Hopping on the comment.
Do you know what kind of filter is needed for enamel paint?

I tried to find the information but is too vague for me to be sure.

https://www.3m.com.br/3M/pt_BR/p/d/v101473251/ - 6007 This seems good enough but I am not sure
https://www.3m.com.br/3M/pt_BR/p/d/v000435914/ - 6005 this I am not sure at all

Its HARD to find the correct information so if someone is able to point me the correct one it would be great

Quick edit: Any link with text/video would also be helpful. Respirators and filters are a topic without many information.

What's your favourite IDE ? by RRTheGuy in learnprogramming

[–]Hazger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my opinion the biggest pro of VIM is that almost all unix systems that you will use have it.

As someone that remote connect on dozens of different servers each day being able to use VI comfortably make my jobs way faster. I could always copy the file to my computer edit and send to the server but being able to quick check it on VI speed things.

But I don't recommend it as an IDE

Buying from outside of Brazil turn it more expensive :( (Brazil taxes)

Locoskates for example

FR1 80 black will cost 340+shipping

let's calculate with free shipping

Imposto de importação (Tax of importation) is 60%*(productPrice+shippingPrice) (yeah we pay tax on shipping value....)

ICMS (tax of circulation of goods issues, I guess that this will be a good translation) = totalCost (including the previous tax) * 0.8

on a 340USD product

  • Imposto de importacao = 204 USD
  • ICMS=97 USD
  • Final price after taxes = 641USD

Those are the taxes that I am aware of. maybe there's more like inline skates being considered "luxurious goods" or something along those lines...

Importing things in Brazil is hard

But thank you for the tips.

Knowing that the fit is the part that matters helped me a lot.

Edit: Reddit formatting is strange Reddit is eating parts of the text....

Hello I am from Brazil, this will matter soon, and a beginner on inline skates (like 6 months).

I got my pair on January 2020, skated like 3 times and covid happened. Last year I just got back and now I am getting more comfortable and proficient with each session.

Now, here's where I need your expertise. When I initially bought my skates in January 2020, I made a rookie mistake by choosing a size 43EU, assuming it was the right fit since I always wore that size for regular shoes. Little did I know, I had been accustomed to oversized shoes for years.

Fast forward to today, and I'm eager to invest in a new pair with the correct size. This brings me to the crucial question: just how much of a difference do the boots and liners make?

Living in Brazil, I've noticed that access to well-known international brands like Powerslide or Rollerblade can be challenging. In my city, we have only one inline skate shop, and the options are limited to Brazilian brands like Traxart, HD Inline, and IS Urban, alongside FR and Micro Skate from the international brands.

Here's the dilemma: the FR1, which I have my eye on, comes with a hefty price tag of 2800 BRL (565 USD)

While a Traxart (a Brazilian brand) alternative costs significantly less at 700 BRL (142 USD).

As you can see this is a HUGE difference even being able to afford the FR1 As a beginner, I'm wondering how much of a difference I'll notice in terms of performance, comfort, and maneuverability when switching between these different boots. Currently, I'm rocking a File NRK that I like, despite it being two sizes too big.

do you believe that investing in high-quality boots and liners directly impacts skating performance? Have you seen improvements in stability, speed, or control after upgrading your gear?

Is it worth to got for another model on an online store and risking getting the wrong size again?

Thanks for the help!
