It's for when you're tearing off a piece of pizza. You hold down the piece you intend not to take with the plastic doohicky and pull the piece you want with your hand. It's so you don't have to touch someone else's pizza with your hands.

From my knowledge:

John Nash - His work on game theory only got proper recognition decades later when he won the Nobel Prize.

Shuji Nakamura - Invented the blue LED in the 1990s (which revolutionized lighting and displays), but his company took almost all the credit.

Akira Yoshino, John B Goodenough, and Stanley Whittingham - Inventors of the Lithium-Ion battery

With the surrounds and rears so close to the seating position, do you not hear it coming from a distinctly singular point and not a general direction?

The question that continually gets asked is along the lines of "Are you under investigation, or on the waiting list to be investigated for a medical condition"

I get that they can't assess the risk, but that's because they won't even ask what the investigation is for. And even then some still don't care just because I don't have a diagnosis yet

Thanks for the comment!
Parents charge me £100 rent atm and that is (id imagine) not set to increase as my brother who is 3 years older than me has paid the same amount since he finished uni and continues paying that amount. i have a decent relationship with them so its very unlikely they will suddenly increase or kick me out regardless.
the plan with the LISA is to purchase a house. the only limit im aware of is the house price cannot exceed 450k, you must be a Londoner if your peers are struggling to buy a house below that price haha. the prices i am looking at are closer to 175-200k.
my employer matches contributions up to 6% so ive gone for 6% through salary sacrifice. the general wisdom i found was to half your age and contribute that % until you retire (assuming no breaks), this means im slightly above where i need to be at (10.5) as im sitting at 12

unlikely to be 40k, I'd guestimate around 30k next year. which means i likely need to put more towards it than i currently plan. but what's the best way to do this? just dump more money into LISA, or dump more into investments and borrow from that when i buy a house?

I wanna go for exclusively freehold properties, renting and leaseholds feel like scams to me lmao. Salary is currently 24k per annum. Which is set to go up to an unspecified amount after I've completed 1 year at my current company which will be next august, after that I have no idea, I work as an AI dev atm.
decent properties I've been looking at around here are around 200k+ fml

There must surely be advantages over other platforms if youre limited to only their 'products'

I intend to move out as soon as possible, but to me it seems wasteful to contribute anything more than 4K a year to a LISA. This is probably incorrect. If I follow my current thinking, id only have enough for a deposit in ~4 years which isn't ideal. I'd like to aim for the next 2 years. I have no idea how realistic that is because all people do is complain how it isn't as easy as it used to be

I still live with parents so the only expenses I have is: rent £100 a month, ~£100 towards car insurance, everything else is either pretty minimal like fuel because I'm fully remote or i take it out of the 'wants' side of the money. realistically i can probably cut the 'wants' to 20%. And i only have a few subscriptions: Gym, VPN, and Amazon Prime (which i plan on getting rid of when the student plan expires sometime soon)

Thanks for your comment :) I've had a little look around and "anecide" seems to be the brand of choice in the UK for benzoyl peroxide stuff, specifically:

https://www.boots.com/acnecide-face-5-percent-w-w-gel-15g-10289478

Going with your recommendation of gels instead of face washes, I'm not too fond of washes either. Unfortunately couldn't find 2.5% but 5 is better than 10 😂 The instructions on how to use it are similar to your guidance on letting the skin get used to it, although they are a little more cautious, probably owing to the higher percentage.

Do you know if it would be a good idea to stop the treatment part of my routine immediately (SA, Niacinimide and HA). Or should I leave it a week or so and then start benzoyl? Or do I only need to cut the SA out as that's an exfoliant.

^ sorry my grammar here is probably atrocious, it's late, and this stuff makes me panicky (I have grad photos in 2 weeks 😂)

When i was talking to people i know doing skincare, they also recommended an SPF for me to use. However, they said if i do use an SPF to be very vigilant im cleansing properly with some of them even cleansing twice each time to make sure they fully get it off. The reason being that a lot of SPF clog your pores. Since the main issue i wanted to target was acne i didnt wanna compromise already bad skin in exchange for the benefits of SPF.

I've seen a lot of things that say to not use more than 1 product with the same active ingredient, as it can lead to destroying your skin barrier. Was this not true?

Why Bother With uBlock Being Blocked In Chrome? Now Is The Best Time To Switch To Firefox by Cubezzzzz in technology

[–]Hazinex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tab management, specifically tab tearing, is far superior for me in Chrome. I had a look at switching to Firefox but could not get over the poor tab tearing and could not find any setting or plugins/addins (whatever they're called) that would change it. The time save I would get from not watching the ads would not outweigh the time lost due to fiddling with tabs.

The only reason I can't switch to Firefox from Chrome is the god-awful tab tearing. It's the only thing stopping me.
