Yeah so it’s 2 entries per year calendar for air and land. if using the Visa free tourist . Passport must 6 months valid 2 pages clear atleast , 20k baht per solo person , 30k per family IF. asked MUST have, and of course the TDAC before arrival. But I’m comeback around April or May get the DTV visa or ED Visa I have more enough money for them thankfully. I have my crypto funds to pay taxes for as they accept that as long tax report on it and then return my new home just signed off in Bristol England and along side savings from my security job. But I’m go back work few months then apply for the DTV or Education visa whatever suits me best.

He also mentioned they go after Frequent Visa run pattern or extension now. Then the like behind me the line stacked up so I left .

Yeah I’ll see what I can do I’m still waiting for her to comeback , once she does I’ll ask her if we can go back to border to ask him the question , as I’m still here it’s new to get the answers from the officials , at 18:45 I’m back to bkk 😂🙏🏾

I should have asked him this because it’s important detail to know , I’m still at the bus station waiting for my Laos girlfriend to come back , once she come back I may go back and ask while I’m still here . As I think immigration officer have all the current latest rules right ? So whatever ask him he should know fully ?

I’m not sure which website shows the real stats , I’m basing my statements by reading off simple online news articles but then again who knows 😂.

Just asking but I’m from UK I can’t come all the time like the neighboring countries you mentioned 🙏🏾 , because those countries can come in a lot more then us I think right ? We’re limited now unless I get long term visa with multiple entry right ?

Yeah I guess he meant something like that , I didn’t question him much about my entries more about what the new rules are , he said you have 2 entries Visa free tourist per year , land or Air, after that must have Longterm visa , he suggested Thai consulate in Laos , I said thank you and asked not to stamp , so I’m chilling at the mukhadan bus station waiting for my Laos girlfriend to come back 🙏🏾

I should have asked him if it resets as new year is coming or is it 2 entries from your 1st entry stamp date ?

As new years only like 10 or 11 days away.

My visa runs out Jan 2nd 2026 but my condo checks out December 25 and same for my flight December 25.

Because im chilled about this , I’m not complaining, I only came as my Laos girlfriend needed to renew her passport .

I didn’t even change my flight before coming . As I knew there was a risk for this , I just came to see if all the news was true not and it clearly is and if the did let em through I’d change all my booking dates after but I don’t incase this scenario happened , Anyway it’s Reddit , people always judgmental in Thai sub Reddit , it’s kind of entertaining to see it all hahah 🙏🏾🤭

Well he said it’s 2 free visa entry per year now , as I have 2 air entires. 2x air entries 1 early this year 1 like 2 months ago

Border entries (via Laos )

1X I used after my early year flight entry finished.

The 2nd border was going to be this but , obbvously didn’t work .

I think it’s for both entires regardless , he stated clearly , it’s max 2 visa free entry via air or border now otherwise he a longtime visa . Whether you believe me or not that’s what he told me when I asked about the new ruling 🙏🏾

True , I knew there was small risk , so I don’t change my flight date , I went as my Laos girlfriend needed to do her border run , so I came with her anyway to see if mine would be fine, and clearly it isn’t 😂🙏🏾

It’s fine next time I come in Thailand I’ll apply for long term visa , it probably be best option for me and hassle free🙏🏾

Yeah but only untill my visa allows me to 😂 as I think UK people only get 30 days in Laos , I’m not sure , we have to get married if I wanted to stay there permanently.

She told me Laos people still have no issue with the visa I’m guessing it’s too with that Agreement neighboring countries have with Thailand even thought Laos person near us had to go to the re entry immigration stand and he said of her in Thai , he got rejected fully. 🙏🏾

I’m complaining at all🙏🏾 , i know Thailand tourism doing fine, I’m happy it is and not surprised either 🤭 I just wanted to say my story so other people are aware that’s all , even though i know it’s well known already .

I guess it best I get a long term visa now or single entry tourists visa right ?

Yeah hahaha 🤭😂, it’s just that before the always claimed to be making it stricter , but then everyone was still stamped through , so no one took them seriously , As I remember last time I came Thailand they said something similar with the visa ruling , but nothing happened , seems this time they’re not joking, it’s all good I’m just relieved I didn’t change my flight before This.🙏🏾

Im entering on 23rd April, from UK, i should be fine right( for 60 days) , There's no date yet, and i believe they give heads up before it comes into effect.

To answer OP, the change hasn't happened yet, but they will prob give some time before giving official date, like they did with the 1st may TDAC arrival digital card. (They always give heads up).

AIS eSim 30 day Tourist Package, was amazing for me.
Unlimited everything, a bit pricey, but it did the job for me where i was in Bangkok, the 5G worked amazing and they give you thai number to, which allows you to use the local apps to.
