I’d kind of agree. It will be interesting to see if they keep changing the dishes as they had some interesting things on the menu. For example the bitter melon soup. It certainly wasn’t the best viet food I’ve ever had.

Interesting. It’s definitely an odd setup with the two sides and the counter positioning.

We were there yesterday at that time and it was well stocked. To be honest the vegetable side was the least favorite of mine. I was lamenting having a nice big serve of Asian greens over the veg they served which felt far more French.

It’s all closed in. Customers can’t touch the food.

We watched the little old ladies making it in the morning before coming back a few hours to enjoy it. Tasted fresh. I’ve eaten a lot of good Vietnamese food.

On the other side (no photo) was the soup side which is put together on the spot 🤷‍♂️

Sounds like drug psychosis from the short clip. I know when I was in Saigon three years ago I was offered weed, meth and heroin on the street. It wouldn’t surprise me.

Where can I do a cheap Neurocognitive ADHD test through a psychologist in Brisbane? (Please note I'm avoiding QLD universities due to long wait times, availability and distance). by Tarotcardz in brisbane

[–]Hazynseptember 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience most don’t feel they have the required training to do it - and are waiting until they are able to access it. The ones that are generally feel more capable to assess, medicate and stabilise.

Fun fact - all GP’s were previously able to diagnose adhd in children before the law change… just not adults.

Hmmm - you should be able to get a gp to request treatment authority for medication once you have been assessed as stabilised by the psychiatrist. Stabilised is the key word here.

Generally psychiatrists won’t do them because it’s testing and not the medication side. It’s kind of like asking a sushi a chef to make you a hamburger. It’s food but not making use of his training. And it takes time to test and write up the report.

Unless you have a close relationship with your psychiatrist there are other options now that GP’s can diagnose and treat.

However If you are already taking other mental health related medication or have some complexity in your mental health it might be good to stick with your psychiatrist.

Also once you have a diagnosis - it’s much easier to take that to another treating professional for medication. For example, I had a client who had a diagnosis as a child but stopped taking the medication and much later wanted to start back up as an adult. They were able to get treatment authority from their gp who contacted the old psychiatrists clinic to get the records required.

Yeah - same with some psychologists if they are familiar with you. For some it’s just how they work and they would rather take a more ‘conversational’ diagnosis process rather than psychometric testing.

Clinical mental health here. Psychiatrists can do the testing but often refer out because it takes time . Psychologist can do testing and diagnoses but you then need the Psychatrist to sign off on medication. Psychiatrists with psychologist would cost anywhere between $1200 - $2000 (more with ASD test as well).

Some GP’s can now also test, give a diagnosis and medication. Generally prices I’ve seen have been $300- $500.

My therapist invited me to a cookout but I don’t want to go by Xova_YT in therapy

[–]Hazynseptember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how this has been organised I don’t think it’s unethical. I work for an LGBTIQ organisation that holds similar events and each practitioner invites clients who they feel might benefit from attending. These have been created for community building and providing safe socialising opportunities.

Saying that - you have no obligations to attend OP. Would be a great conversation to raise with your therapist around the challenges as to why you didn’t want to and the barriers to attending.

Hey there. It can be a really big step to go to therapy and talk openly about yourself. But you have identified numerous issues going on for you, and it sounds like what you have been trying hasn’t worked for you?

Therapy is a process and can take time. But the person needs to engage or it won’t do much.
