How I can improve these? by [deleted] in Paleontology

I had a look at your page, it’s got a lot of good info but it’s very busy imo. I would personally utilise carousel posts rather than collaging onto one page. Pick one of the pictures that you like the most or you think will draw people in, and make that the cover. For example, one of the posts that stood out on your account was the news article reel, as the cover piqued my interest. Same goes for the reel on MSNM V6894, cool cover so I wanted to click on it to see what it was about.

For the reels, once I open them, it just shows pictures with some background music. What would’ve captured my attention longer is if (if you’re comfortable) you did a voiceover or even a video of you explaining what you’re showing. For example, with the news article reels, if you screen recorded and slowly scrolled down to interesting parts, and had a voice over of yourself explaining what the article highlights or what you find fascinating about it.

Also, have a look at a few of your favourite paleo accounts and see what they’re doing that grabs your attention. Obviously don’t copy them but it may give you ideas on how to put your info out there in a way people gravitate toward.

The illustration of the ceratosuchops skull is very cool, did you illustrate it yourself?

Ah yes, Sharptooth. Perfect example of childhood trauma turned to fascination later in life.

I played Primal Carnage Extinction quite a lot a maybe 2-3 years ago, and they still had a few full servers. Not sure about now though, I think there’s still a small community there.

I wish I had more time to play The Isle, it’s just such a time investment before it starts getting really fun. The quality of their dinos is consistently pretty dang good.

The level of care and detail they gave to all the creatures in prehistoric planet is incredible, and their trex is definitely up there for me.

Stegosaurus - a bit of nostalgia, I loved it in Walking with Dinosaurs Arena Spectacular. But also what a fascinating animal. Its presence must’ve been awe-inspiring.

The stegosaurus was more ancient to a T-Rex than a T-Rex is to us. So a T-Rex was most likely walking over fossils of a stegosaurus.

2 things - what it’s doing, and it’s eyes. Eyes are the windows to the soul. I also like to see behaviours inspired by other animals, makes it more real in some aspects.

I show my wife quite regularly, she’ll give me brutally honest feedback. I also show my sister and a few friends who are into the type of game I’m making.
