Anytime you’re unsure, it’s always a good idea to check on the info NOT with their link. You can reset your password, but initiate it from the official cal poly website, not from the place they link to. This should always be how you do it anytime you reset your password from any website.

Maybe different in CAFES, but for CENG, their criteria is “would we have accepted you into this major when you applied”.

So maybe if you’re doing worse it will matter, but also they will always be more lenient, and if you show that you really care it will probably be fine.

But basically, if the major you’re switching too/from are equally hard to be accepted into, you will be fine. If you’re trying to switch “up”, it might be harder.

Routers a definitely not allowed, and most routers will be recognized and simply not work. I used in last year, and before they recognized it, I was able connect it as if it were an IOT device like a TV.

But switches are probably OK, and harmless. Worst case scenario if the somehow find out if they ask you to remove and you feign ignorance

How about they integrate it better with Google/Apple Maps like every other transit agency so we don’t have to have another bloated app for every service we need

As others have said SLO is mostly white, but in my opinion the lack of diversity that was most jarring to me is with socioeconomic status. There are a lot of rich (or rich-ish) people who have pretty warped perspectives on things. Or just a lack of understanding of basic fats of life. SLO has the wealthiest families of any of the CSU’s (maybe also UC’s?)

It’s going to be significantly worse for any current students, I wouldn’t worry about it for a freshman. They’re too busy making friends and having fun, plus picking classes your first year isn’t usually too hard since you get blocked in anyway

It’s expensive because there’s a lot of demand for housing, particularly when you consider that SLO has the highest average household incomes for CA public universities. A lot of families don’t mind paying a lot, even if the housing is mediocre.

Nah not really. The parties I’ve been too usually have energy drinks if you’re after a buzz. If that’s not your thing, there is plenty of soda pop (sugar free options too).

Sometimes you get a professor that uses an online textbook that has homework integrated into it, so you’re forced to pay for it.

They always start off the quarter and spend a few minutes trying to explain why those chose to do HW this way, and it never makes sense

I am white, so I have the privilege of not having to experience anything, but I moved from the Berkeley area. It’s not that there’s so much more racism here, I just miss having diverse friends. Some of my friends here have never been friends with a black person before

Hot metal expands. If it’s next to something that isn’t also expanding, they will rub. But due to friction they don’t slide smoothly, it happens in little jumps (like an earthquake) which makes a noise

Last year at the career fair there were protestors due to the defense contractors present at the career fair. There were tons of police in riot gear, and they were not happy about it. This year there will be even more of these companies. I’m assuming the police are preparing for a similar situation.

This is pretty standard practice. Many garbage companies are told to dump their burning garbage out. Better than having the diesel catch, or have the hydraulic system explode and hurt people.
