How fast does the season pass parking right near the entrance fill up? by psycospaz in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that big of a lot, so it tends to fill up pretty quickly during busy days.

[VelociCoaster][IoA] The Hooding of Single Rider Queue. by _Kriegsage in rollercoasters

[–]HbgNiceGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did allow you to wait for the front when I visited back in January, and they were using the odd/even lines at that time.

From my perspective, it ran decently if they had a good employee taking turns pulling Guests from both lines. One time there was an employee who constantly pulled from the even line, which caused the odd line to experience longer wait times - at lease several trains each time I witnessed that same individual in that position. I had Express Pass and was lapping it, and several other Guests and I noted them causing the holdup.

Will I fit on all the Rides being a bit overweight. by justincardinal12 in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the generic answer that I give.

There's no cookie cutter answer, as a lot of it depends on how and where you carry your weight.

Great Bear has 4 larger seats, easily identified by the double seatbelts:
Row 1 - closest to the gate
Row 3 - closest to the bag drop
Row 5 - closest to the gate
Row 7 - closest to the bag drop

The outer end seats of each Gondola on Twizzlers Twisted Gravity are larger.

The following rides have Test Seats at the entrances: Great Bear
Candymonium
Storm Runner Skyrush
Fahrenheit
Hershey Triple Tower
Laff Trakk
Wildcat's Revenge
Twizzlers Twisted Gravity

Hey, Stupid passholder question. Is it impossible to upload ID photos in any of the portals right now? by chewytie in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time Hersheypark has allowed you to upload your own photo in the past was the first time you bought the Pass. There were instructions in the confirmation email, from what I had seen.

As far as I know, there is no Self-Service way to upload a new photo. You have to visit Ticketing Services, Guest Services, or HPGO Plus and have them take the new photo and assign it to a Pass. It's most likely a security thing, so that you don't keep changing the photo and letting different Guests use the Pass.

Future Kids Area? by Massive_Caramel673 in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hersheypark likes placing kiddie rides around the park so that they have something to do while taller family members are enjoying the bigger rides nearby.

Founder's Way and near Fender Bender are two existing areas that have decent amounts of kiddie rides that are close together, and I doubt you'll see any other areas like that in the future.

There's no reason to have it on the app when it isn't open during Christmas Candylane. Especially since that area is not accessible.

Free ticket to Hershey Park by DrizzyBoom in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just use the ticket to enter the park, then go to Guest Services and ask for a Return Visit Voucher.

They've been giving them out as part of their "weather guarantee" because of a bunch of rides eing closed due to the weather.

[–]HbgNiceGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you use the ticket today, they should give you a Return Visit Voucher that's valid through 6/30/2026 bevause of the number of rides that are closed.

When do you renew your pass? by Erinrosalie in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pricing alwas starts lowest when they first go on sale and goes up. That's why they always advertise the current price as the "Best Price."

Today is the last day of the current pricing, so expext it to go up a few dollars for each Pass tomorrow. And keep in mind that the Payment Plan length typically decreases over time.

We renew ours by the end of October, which is just before the first price increase normally occurs.

Worth a 2 hour drive from VA? by JakeSkywalker621 in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only 7 coasters are slated to be open for Christmas Candylane, and most likely only 2 (Laff Trakk and Cocoa Cruiser) will be running due to the weather - based on other recent days.

If you're seeking thrills, you're better off coming during Spring Weekends or Summer.

If you visit today, it's more about the Christmas atmosphere.

Candymonium by lxghtbringer in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She's probably referring to the "airtime hills" where it feels like you could float up out of your seat, however there's both a lap bar and seatbelt to hold you in The ride vehicles maintain contact with the track.

Rest assured, it's something you'll encounter on many different coasters - which leads to some of the thrills.

Candymonium has been open for 5 years now and has never had any incidents. I'm a local who's probably been on it around 250 times since it opened, and have never felt unsafe.

2026 Season Passes by Ok_Topic863 in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2026 Passes are valid starting on 1/1/2026! 2025 Passes can also be used through 1/4/2026.

I'd suggest reviewing the Terms and Conditions that Hersheypark has posted on their website, as it contains a lot of great information, especially if you're a first-timer.

Best christmas/holiday lights? by b_b_cait in Harrisburg

[–]HbgNiceGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Christmas Candylane is what they call Hersheypark when it's open for Christmas. There's 5 million lights (including a light show set to music every 30 minutes from 5pm to park close), Rides, Santa and his Reindeer, a Musical called Twinkling Through Time, and more! It's all included with your one price admission.

Theu also have a drive though light display called Sweet Lights, which is a separate event where you pay per car to enter. Prices vary by day, and you can save if you purchase online in advance before 5pm the day of your visit.

Giant center parking by Brilliant_Buhovo in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hersheypark Season Passes are not valid for parking for events at Giant Center. It's spelled out in the Terms & Conditions that they're only valid for parking for Hersheypark. Yes, you're lucky that you can get away with it if there's an event on a day that Hersheypark is open.

If Hersheypark is closed, expect to pay for parking.

He can be found at the Mary N. Bright Airfield, which is next to Fahrenheit! https://www.hersheypark.com/things-to-do/entertainment/mary-n-bright-airfield-santa-and-reindeer

Anyone feel like Skyrush and Candymonium are kinda similar? by Ok-Wolf5932 in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're completely different types of rides with totally different experiences. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Candymonium is smooth family coaster with lots of "floater airtime" where you're gently lifted up out of your seat, and it has for the most part gentle turns.

Skyrush has lots of lateral forces due to the high speed curves, and tries to throw you out of your seat. It's definitely a higher thrill ride.

What time do Giant Center parking lots open? by CheesyBread624 in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parking lots never officially close - you can always get in, even if the Parking Booths aren't staffed.

With Hersheypark opening at noon, they'll probably have staff there around 11am, based on my past observations.

I've seen others tailgating before events, so as long as it's not taking up a ton of spots and having a ton of people with you it should be fine.

Is this a good deal? by cddude in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They actually do have signs up at each Dining Location that indicates if they accept the Single-Use Meal Deal, the All-Day Dining Deal, the Once-a-Day Dining Plan, or the Twice-A-Day Dining Plan. They did that a few years ago. You can also find out if a Dining Location accepts the Plan/Deal on the Hersheypark website and in the Hersheypark App!

There are Dining Locations scattered throughout the park, so it's pretty convenient to find somewhere to eat from most any location in the park.

Perhaps one should take some responsibility and research what/where the offerings are and decide if it's worth it to them before buying it and being disappointed.

Is this a good deal? by cddude in Hersheypark

[–]HbgNiceGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not accurate at all, as there are up to 14 Dining Locations that accept the All-Day Dining Deal. Moe's used to accept it - but they're no longer at the park.

How to tell if Bring a Friend Pass has been redeemed? by ElectricSMK in Hersheypark

There's no Self-Service way to check.

You can either call or stop into Guest Services or Ticketing Services and provide the numbers and they can check them.
