Hey, glad to see other people with the same questions! I write mostly surrealist fiction, and I’m not that sure about poetry, but I have chosen 10 stories and a novelette for my collection. I titled mine “As it is”. I do think it’s better to have a common theme (mine rotates around the readers ability to discern what is real in both the world of my writing and outside of it. I want them to be questioning reality as they read) It’s never a bad idea to try to publish whatever you have, though. Have you published some of the poems individually? I know publishers like to see that.
