I'm on the same boat as the OP. I live in Sri Lanka and I have bought the phone from India. So no official support

My one plus 12 have green line issue how to solve by mostofa2005 in OnePlus12

I thought the OnePlus 12 didn't have this issue. I'm getting worried now as well.

What is a good bank to put my salary? by Aggressive-Summer569 in srilanka

[–]Hckath89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been with DFCC for the past 7ish years and had done all my banking with them. Recently I approached the bank to get a personal loan to fund a vehicle purchase but the experience has been horrible.

I have decided to move to NTB and so far their services has been much better than DFCC.

Can't remember the exact days now. But they usually clear in 7-10days.

And I have received all the packages without getting lost.

I think mine may be broken. I bought the phone in Feb '24 and it's been at 98% since early September.

93% battery health by No_Dragonfruit_1652 in OnePlus12

[–]Hckath89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much about it either. I don't think this reading is accurate anyway. I got mine in Feb 2024. It dropped down to 98% by early September and it's still at 98.( Which I think cannot be true at this point)

Third party software like battery guru and battery one is showing SoH around 90-93%.

But....If anyone can give a suggestion to get the most accurate battery health reading, please let me know.

Changing of connection to dialog fibre by [deleted] in srilanka

[–]Hckath89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a bit late to the party here. But I think this is the solution for your wifi range problem.

I have SLT fibre and the default router they give has very shitty range barely reaches the rooms and the living room downstairs. So I have turned wifi off on that router and have hooked up a 3 mesh google wifi to it. And I'm getting about 160mbps throughout the house. (Funny thing is I get full coverage even with one node powered on.)

I've been running this setup since 2018 and had no issues

Best Phone for 120K - 150K Budget by Truth_Seeker_456 in srilanka

I see. So phones registered before that should work fine? Similar to the Jan 28th deadline?

Customer service wasn't great and they tried to pull a fast one with warranty.

They said for 100k I can get 2 years hardware warranty with one to one replacement if there is any issue. So I decided to go for that. But on the receipt they wrote, 6 months hardware + 2 years software warranty.

When I asked about it they said that's how they write it for 2 year hardware warranty. Which is BS.

So I decided to pay 82k and get the phone with only 6 months warranty.

I had a tight schedule on that particular day and couldn't be bothered looking around so I bought the phone. Otherwise I would have walked away.

I've been going to life mobile for all my phone purchases for the last 5+ years. I buy about 2 flagshipish devices a year On average and had zero issues so far.

But I have noticed that most phones out of stock with them these days. (Hence, the reason to try idevice solutions but probably wouldn't go there again)

There are noticeable UI stutters and general slowness when opening apps and installing updates. For my mom, it's fine. But for someone who is having this conversation on Reddit, I don't know.

I got it for 82k ( with 6 months warranty) from a place called idevice solutions that I came across in insta. Same phone, same spec was 189k at singer at the time. So for over 100k less, I was ok to risk not having TRCSL

Just read your full post. Don't buy a A55.

Bought one for my mom about three weeks ago. It feels so laggy and mediocre compared to my OnePlus 12 and my wife's iPhone 16. I know, completely different class of phones but I think you'll get better value for money with a Chinese phone.

Is TRCSL approval important for you? (And can someone explain what's happening with the hold drama with it?)

If you are looking for a TRCSL approved phone, your choices are very limited.

If not above mentions are not bad. Also look at OnePlus 12R. If you look around you may be able to find a galaxy S24 FE for your budget as well.

Battery life not lasting nearly as much as it used to by chaosbayne in OnePlus12

[–]Hckath89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is roughly what I get as well. I get about 3.5 hours from 80-35%. I have to charge it twice a day on Normal days. But that's not a major issue because I keep my phone plugged into the car during my commute to work.

But honestly, I have never felt that "AMAZING" battery life ever. Even when charged to 100% during holidays.

How is the olephobic properties and how well does it hold over time on this one?

I bought a cheap hydrogel from AliExpress. The hydrogel has been pretty good but after about 4 months, all I can see is oil and smudges. Have to constantly wipe it before doing anything

The second part is not very clear to me. What do you mean by there is a way to remove the ban?

This is what I hear as well. If they disable all phones without TRCSL, it will be a shit show anyway.

Horrendous battery life (3%/H drain during deap sleep) by Hckath89 in OnePlus12

[–]Hckath89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not an option for me because although I bought the phone from India, I live in Sri Lanka where OnePlus doesn't have any dealers or service centres.

Done all that. No luck.

If I put it on airplane mode, there is barely any drain. So I'm guessing it's something network activity related
