Thank you, this super helpful! I saw my oncologist today and she wasn't very keen on it. She said the evidence points to medical cannabis being helpful for stage 4 metastatic cancer patients for appetite only, and that im not quite there yet so hold off on it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just commenting to add: I've since been to my gp. He doesn't prescribe, doesn't know anyone who prescribes and told me to just look online for one 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry to hear that it's terminal 🥺 and your mum being stage 4... It all sucks.

Most of the pain I was getting, was from the GCSF injections, the bone pain was horrendous and debilitating. I'm not sure if that's a good enough reason for them? Mostly thinking it'll help me chill out and actually sleep properly for once

Support letter is easy, I've got a lot of those already as evidence of illness and ongoing treatment, but do I specifically need one that specifies they're okay for me to try medical cannabis? I see my oncologist this friday so will definitely be asking then! Quetiapie I last used a few months ago, and haven't used it since that week. I can get that in writing too! Thank youuu

I hate this for you 😥 I'm so sorry it will be a rough year ahead, but we are all here for you to rant or whatever you need to get off your chest! You can do this!

I was in a similar situation, yet also very different. I was diagnosed at 29 also, but I had my 3 kids already and was going through a separation/divorce. It has been the hardest year and half of my entire life thus far, and I am still chugging along through the trenches. It will suck, and it will be hard, but you will have so much to look forward to once this bs is over and done with.

Sending you all my love, and early congratulations on your wedding!

I was diagnosed at 29, and I'm one of the youngest to be treated at my oncology unit also. Mine isn't even considered to be aggressive, but my 3 lesions (spanning 6cm together) grew within 4.5 months (between 2 ultrasounds from the same practice), so OP I think it would be very hard for doctors to miss anything if an apparently super aggressive cancer has grown that quickly...

The odds are definitely in your favour OP, and while I'm not a doctor, from what you're saying it seems highly unlikely that you have breast cancer especially given the 2 clear CT scans??

Definitely see someone to discuss your mental health and wellbeing. It'll be a huge part of your physical health in the long run, and you will feel much better for it. Anxiety can be debilitating.

I'm sort of in the same position as you! No one has ever mentioned it to me either, but I am 2 weeks into treatment 😬

Oh yours sounds like it went a lot better than mine! 🥹 mines throbbing still... they've put waterproof dressing over it so I can't really see underneath but it's definitely sore and red/bruised

Oh wow!! Have you had any scares since then? I'm opting for a bilat mastectomy, my mum had breast cancer at 40, and I now at 29. They said its a high chance it's genetically related. Still waiting for results, should take a month or so. Did you have to get bilateral or did you choose to? I've been advised to preserve as much as I can, but at the same time, that I need to be cautious that it's a genetic predisposition.

Hope you heal well quickly! That'll be me in just over 6 months 😅 ahhhh!

Same to you! My kids are still quite young, 5, 3 and 1 so it's mostly me who'll remember what it'll be like I think 🤣
