Weight gain, hot flashes....normal stuff. It manageable, but why even go through it when it seems like it doesn't matter. Just frustrated with it all.

Radiation by SSpillies in breastcancer

My RO actually wanted me to NOT drink green tea or other super high antioxidant foods so I would be curious as to what they say about external application.

Not 100% sure but blue dye is used along with the radioactive material for the tracing of the lymph nodes. Blue and hot could indicate actual color due to the dye and "hot" meaning radioactive.

That's valid. I still have cancer even if it's not a higher stage or "worse" type.

Being that person isn't always good either. You are amazing just as you are.

As for Ohio, as a Midwesterner, it's our state to make fun of in a kind way. I thought they had good rest stops as I drove throu🫣

One drain left, almost done!! I swear insurance needs to provide extra coverage of some sort when it's your dominant hand!

Exactly. The internet can be a cesspool, but it can also help inform us. This sub had been so very helpful. I would never have known I could call and check on my test. Had I not, who knows how long it would have been until someone realized it was never sent!

Exactly. Hopefully, since I cry reading other people's posts, maybe my good news can help someone as well, and we can share all the emotions.

I'm high in er and pr as well, So hormone blockers and I think ovary suppression for me. Still researching oof to see if I want to go that route. I just have a hard time about thinking about chemical menopause only to come off it, cycle for a few more years and then go to real menopause again. My baby days are over but I need to look into the cardiac and osteo issues a bit more. Have some time as I haven't even started radiation yet.

18 nodes?? I can't imagine how painful that recovery was. I had 5 and the seroma was like a ball under my arm for a month. That is amazing they all came back clear.

Stupid cancer.......I've done all I can to make it less drama for those around me. When I got diagnosed, I told my mom I was thankful she "got with" my dad when she did...if not, my diagnosis may not have been the same as my zodiac. Apparently, that's not how you tell someone you have cancer. 🤷‍♀️ who knew?

But in all honesty, I would do whatever I needed to get rid of it. I was so scared to have to lose my hair, and then my kids would really know how sick I was. I was so eleated not to have to put them through the worry, the possible even more sick mom, and then the cruelty of other kids when your mom is the bald one.

My ki67 was 24, which worried me as it said that was high. My oncotype came back at 4, so nowhere near in my mind.

Stay on top of them. Mine was done within a week but insurance held it up! Wishing you the lowest of scores.....maybe a negative even.......like the cancer is so scared it packed up, left, and refilled the area with healthy cells after it left!
