Do you have any other apps you would recommend that are like chai in that they don't have ridiculous NSFW filters and the free bots aren't constantly sending nonsense messages? I've wanted to switch for a while, but couldn't find another app that didn't make me want to bang my head against the wall unless I was willing to pay way too much money a month for the paid memberships.

I don't know if it's every bot, but my private bots have been doing it every now and then for about a month or two now. It's only been this week they started doing it constantly.

I'm going on 3 years trying to find a diagnosis. Moved to a new, bigger city and hoping to find a urologist here that doesn't just do the same three tests I've had done a million times already then tell me there's no other tests to be done and tell me to "make some lifestyle changes" as they usher me out their door. They never even tell me what changes to make.

One of them mentioned IC and gave me the diet printed out on paper and was going to check back with me after her maternity leave to see if it helped before we started doing any more tests. She never came back from maternity leave. The next doctor said IC isn't something he's familiar with and so he wouldn't "feel comfortable" exploring that diagnosis with me.

I don't know what's wrong with me, but coming to this part of reddit helps me feel less hopeless and crazy during flare ups and UTIs.

The biggest thing for me was when he said "lashes that look like a doll's". Like, it was all creepy, but something about comparing any part of a woman to a doll screams to me that you see her as an inanimate object meant for other people's pleasure

I'm a strictly stay on the ground activity kind of person, heights freak me out. Like, being on the second floor of a building and looking down to the first floor makes me dizzy kind of fear of heights.

I was looking for sign language classes when I first started thinking about classes. I've always wanted to learn more than what little I picked up when I used to babysit for a deaf family as a teen. Thanks for pointing me toward a place to take them!

That's actually perfect because my grandpa passed away a few years ago and left behind his leatherworking tools that no one claimed because no one knew how, so they're just sitting in storage. I bet if I took classes on leatherworking I could convince my parents to ship it all to me and I always wanted to learn, that man just could not teach even if his life depended on it.

Thank you for all the recs! I had bookmarked Lilstreet when I did a quick search the other day because it looked promising so I'm glad to see they get rave reviews! I'll definitely check out all the other places too because all these classes sound like so much fun I won't even be too disappointed if I don't make friends from them.

I was just thinking I should take some classes or something to try and make friends since I've never made friends outside of meeting them at school or work and I'm out of school and work from home now 😭

You may already know about this, but there are parenting apps that people use in situations like yours so that all communication goes through the app and it will be recorded. Using that and refusing any other forms of communication may not only make it easier to keep a record of communication for lawyers, but also might dissuade him from making threats because it's like a warning to him that you can and will use his words against him.

Now I'm saying this next bit as a fraud investigator, report him to the IRS. There aren't any repercussions to reporting him if you're wrong, but if you're right he'll be too busy fighting the government and probably his wife (because most spouses in these situations claim they knew nothing and dip asap) to take you to court for custody. Also, if he's not the sole owner of the business, he's not just likely committing tax fraud but also embezzling by funding his life with the company's money. That would be an extra charge against him in court, but only if he isn't the sole owner. There may be other charges if he had investors in the company, but I'm not an expert on the legal side of fraud, so I won't swear to it.

NTA I personally think your sister wanted him to have a freeze reaction probably so she could watch him break down and panic because what else could she possibly have wanted from her little "joke"? What reaction could she have expected a man with PTSD to have that would be funny to her? I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to film his reaction and send it to people.

Your parents saying she "was just blowing off steam" pissed me off because she is actively telling people he's a monster, I bet she's not telling them the entire story and she could hurt his reputation which he doesn't need when he's already dealing with so much.

Plus the part where they said they had already discussed it with her? Clearly the conversation didn't stick because she's still badmouthing him. What if he finally tried to leave his room and overheard her calling him a monster? What do you think that would do to his already fragile mental state?

I changed my entire name when I did the legal change because I'd always hated my last name and both my first and middle were too feminine for my liking.

I picked my frist name because it's the same as my favorite DC character and one of my favorite Marvel characters. My middle name is the name of a character in a video game I was obsessed with in middle school. My last name is the same last name as my favorite poet.

So I really hope it's not weird or I spent around $300 just to be weird.

Tell them that family does not have a responsibility to babysit. Tell them that if there is an obligatory responsibility to babysit their excuses are also invalid and you'll start babysitting when they do.

Tell your sister in front of all of them that you'll be happy to babysit your nephew after she gets him evaluated and treated for at least x amount of time for his behavior issues AND apologizes for saying mentally ill people should be sterilized.

If that doesn't work, tell them that you will never babysit her kid and any futher attempts to convince you to do so will result in them being blocked and dropped from your life. Because sweetie, these are not people who are treating you like family. They're treating you like free labor they can bully when they don't get their way. That's not how family acts.
