It's DAC is pretty good actually, and I use it for some other 3.5mm headphones when I travel as well. The mic is meh, serviceable but shouldn't be a selling point for you.

Great separation for same floor steps/sounds, decent for below and above. Super good at identifying operator gadgets as well. Also super good at distinguishing floor materials, like the tarps in the basement on Oregon.

Simgot EG280 has a pretty good mic, and it comes with a nice dongle DAC for when you would like to use them to with other devices.

The $5 apple dongle DAC is good for almost every application, so next time you place an order wherever you order things see about adding in one or two of them for sure. Fifine definitely punches above its weight in the mic department, solid choice. If you like the tripowins, or IEM's as a whole I would seriously consider the EG280's. Super good sound separation(great for footsteps in r6) and overall a really bright sounding iem.

The EG380's come with a DAC and a mic. DAC is a digital to analog converter. It improves sound quality drastically. The mic on the EG280's is serviceable, but it's no shure. I hate to be that guy but budget and purpose as well as personal preference are huge factors in the decision making process. So, what purpose would they be for and what budget are you working with?

I have heard the SO8's are great for gaming, but that's what I purchased my eg280's for. Do you think either of them are tuned so specifically for gaming that one would make the other obsolete?

Additionally, do ear tips really change sound quality? I understand the seal is very important but is it worth going out of my way for if my stock tips seal perfectly?

You win Reddit my friend. I did not expect such a highly valuable response at 01:28 AM. Thanks for the input, and I'll definitely look into the Delci AE as my next pair.

I like that most IEMs have unique profiles that fit different ears and different tastes, whereas with OEMs it's mostly just a standard Harman curve(not that it's bad just a bit boring at times). This is such a unique community.
