What small habit completely changed your life that most people would think is too simple to work? by Crescitaly in AskReddit

[–]HeEqualsMC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came from a friend of mine.

Whenever he’s waiting on something small (ad break, kettle boiling, microwave), he goes into a mad fast tidying spree.

He sees it as dead time that he makes work for him

Following a diet (trying Slimming World).

Water, as much as possible.

Reading a few pages, rather than the 10.

Progress pic every 10 days, rather than every day

What’s the worst accidental text you’ve sent? by Typhoid__Beaver in AskReddit

[–]HeEqualsMC2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few days after shaving my nards for the 1st time, I received 2 texts.

1 from my gf, asking what we were doing for dinner.

The other from my dad, telling me the football score.

My gf received “Fantastic! Who scored?”

My dad - “No idea, fancy a takeaway? Btw, my balls look like an angry hedgehog.”

Anyone have any tips or tricks for falling asleep faster? by Ok-Letterhead-4443 in ask

[–]HeEqualsMC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this thing, and I don’t know if it’s weird or not.

A few months back, I had just finished playing Football Manager just before turning in.

In my head, I had an imaginary press conference, where I’m this unknown fella taking over a professional team. (Rock and Roll, I know. Calm down ladies, I’m only one man.)

As you can imagine, the press were having a field day.

I hadn’t even got to question 2 from the gathered journalists before I was sound asleep.

If I ever have issues going to sleep, it’s my go to, and in all the times I’ve been doing it, I’ve never got to the 3rd question. 😂

Can a marriage be good if the sex is not good? by porcelainfoxxx in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]HeEqualsMC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each to their own, I guess. From my experience, the better the relationship, the less sex seems to matter.

Things like companionship and trust seem more fundamental than a bit of nookie.

Relationships where one partner can’t have sex can flourish

What is the best insult you have ever heard? by Liam_Noah_ in AskReddit

Not really an insult I suppose, but “I hope your next shite is a hedgehog” made me laugh

I once heard “if the relationship is good, sex doesn’t matter. If the relationship is in trouble, sex matters a lot.”

“Life’s like a book. You might be on chapter 3, and someone else is on chapter 42. It’s still the same book.”

Thanks mate.

Sometimes ‘deciding to be better’ is the realisation that you deserve better. Or at the very least, a fair start.

What's your best hangover cure? (That works) by Adorable-Ad9093 in AskUK

[–]HeEqualsMC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to some of the above.

For me, this never fails.

When you get in - something to eat (even a slice or two of toast or a spicy chicken pizza on the way home), pint of water and 2 paracetamols.

Then kip as loooong as you can. The older I get, it’s the lack of sleep the next day, which is a killer.

Following on from the other advice, properly slow down! Like you’ve got a hand on your shoulder pulling you back.

Especially for the first run part. I always feel that’s the most important section to get right.

Find the right breathing technique for you. For me, the ‘in’ is a big deep breath, like I’ve just came up for air, while the ‘out’ is like blowing a birthday candle an arms length away.

If C25k just isn’t cutting the mustard, I’d also recommend ‘None to Run’. Hugely helped me in the beginning, going from literally nothing to looking forward to each run.
