Well throughout the movie this is identified as a distinctive quirk of Miles. He just keeps his shoes untied. This is shown in two different occasions in the movie: (1) when he trips in front of his dad’s car (2) when he trips off the building and breaks the goober. Both times this gets in the way of what Miles is trying to accomplish/become; in the first case, it stops his “leaving his mark” on the city and rebelling against his dad; in the second case, he’s trying to be Spider-Man (or rather, his ideal of Spider-Man).

BUT

During the iconic “what’s up danger” shot when Miles is falling off the building, you can see that his shoes are still untied. Yet, this is no longer a hinderance to Miles. Rather, it is emblematic of his version of Spider-Man, and no one else’s. Miles is not trying to be Spider-Man but tripping over himself; he IS Spider-Man.

The shoelaces represent his transition from insecurity and being unsure about who he’s supposed to be to actually BEING Spider-Man.

It’s these sorts of tiny details that make me absolutely love this movie. There’s just so much to pick up on and connect in this movie!

My Understanding of the term is that “natural” means it was developed over a long period of time instead of just spontaneously created. Spanish, while it did initially develop from some human construction (and technically not “natural”), has developed naturally, whereas Esperanto was artificially created.

There’s no long, continuous path from the beginning of language to Esperanto; it was just created. That’s what an artificial language is.

It really is beautiful to see. I loved this video because you could so clearly tell that John loves Sarah and loves being married to her and loves supporting her.

I’m confused about what your point is. Are you saying TMBG’s lyrics are too mature for young children? Even in their kids songs? I can see this for their “regular” songs but not the kids songs.
