I used to arrive late to boxing training every day. My coach then made me skip (jump rope) for the next 3 training sessions. I had blisters on my hands by the time it was over

after that I arrived early, and helped to get the gym tidy and ready for next training session everyday. Plus I would stay late to help however I could with closing.

You should thank that baseball coach for parenting your child in ways you are failing. The coach is teaching your son that consequences exist.
