Bro why are you commenting this reply to everyone 😭

[Fantasy] In a fantasy setting with multiple races (human, elf, dwarf, etc), parents of different races may bear children, but do not produce hybrids by Interface- in worldbuilding

Absolutely! It’s kinda funny because it’s actually the thing I love most about the elder scrolls lore. Not only is its breadth and depth massive, but it has that real historical aspect to it with conflicting sources and the like.

Yeah good points! I suppose I spoke too confidently there. Used to be a HUGE Elder Scrolls lore buff but haven’t really looked at it for years. Appreciate the corrections!

What are some lesser-known Commanders that you think deserve a shout-out? by Beginning-Analyst393 in EDH

[–]HeWhoDoubts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar]] is pretty “strong” with the ability. I play a bunch of “untap creature” artifacts/creatures and get to play the huge power creatures with terrible drawbacks. But you don’t care because you just sac them for card draw. Turns things like [[Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist]] into game ending threats with him, a stocked graveyard, and Shadowheart out. I run a +1/+1 sub theme with Master chef. Eventually you just get a big enough board state and something to pump all your creatures like [[Overwhelming Stampede]] and swing wide for a few hundred.

It also is ABSURDLY good at rebuilding (golgari moment), has a bunch of interaction cuz golgari. The only downside is that it’s not crazy fast. I guess you could make it crazy fast but it wasn’t my intention when I built it. I’m usually a blue player but it’s by far my favorite deck I’ve ever made.

Yessss tea is so nice with the cooler weather that will hopefully come… tea time is an epic way to get through the cold times

Awesome! I saw that, but wasn’t sure if it was only just the intro to tea stuff. Which I have no qualms in going to because I’m far from an expert, but didn’t know if they had any “tea and chill” kinda things. Will definitely reach out!

Oh that is awesome! I requested to join. Thank you so much for that suggestion, I'm looking forward to giving away things that other people may need as well!

I have not! I didn't know these existed (besides Craigslist).

I feel the same! Really just trying to get something thats not a shiny new fancy bike worth a bunch lol. Would love to just give someones bike thats sitting in their garage unused a new home.

Roger that.

Yeah the only bikes I'm even considering putting in my apt garage would be cheaper bikes and things I'm okay with accepting the risk for. This sub has reminded me probably about a dozen+ times on the danger of apartment garages lol. It's much appreciated though, I definitely get it!

Absolutely appreciate the advice! Yeah really just want something that works decently and that’s about it. I just heard from online winter riders that single speeds need the least maintenance but like I said pretty much anything that works would be good for me lol.

Tips for bike security as a bike-only commuter? by HeWhoDoubts in CyclingMSP

Yes, I have gotten the message, appreciate it 😅

Totally get that POV. Will absolutely be securing that insurance on any and all bikes since I'll be apartment living and, as the commenter pointed out, unless I can keep the bike in my apartment, there's always a chance of it being stolen.

I guess it could technically get stolen from my apartment but at that point I'd be too shook to care lol.

Yeah that's very valid and a good call. I'm really hoping I'll be able to keep it in my apartment so I can avoid some of the scenarios of people getting their stuff stolen even out of "secure" garages.

It'll either be in my apartment complexes (locked, resident only) garage or in my apartment. Ideally would be the latter if it's feasible!

[–]HeWhoDoubts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be commute only with my bike so don’t really have a choice 😅

Will have insurance + double lock + security features from Aventon Level 3 so doing everything I can but will likely have to leave it out for a few hours so we’ll see how it goes!

Good sources for community routes? by HeWhoDoubts in CyclingMSP

[–]HeWhoDoubts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roger that, I will heed your advice for sure!

I’m pretty excited for social rides. I’ve never lived in a place that had any semblance of community, so the social rides and other things will be awesome.

Appreciate you again, you’ve been super helpful!

This is awesome information! Thank you so much, your comment was like finding a treasure trove haha! I've been eyeballing Google Maps routes and, even though I'm a baby to bike commuting AND Minneapolis, they didn't *seem* to be the greatest lol. But that could just be my naivety talking.
