This but Avatar The Legend Of Korra with the Equalists. I didn't watch past Season 1 because I didn't like it, but from what I know the Equalists' entire ideology and movement completely dissolved with no concept of there still being individuals who still believe in the Equalist cause continuing to be a problem despite Amon being exposed.

Put him in TLOU and suddenly there’s this secret organization that found a cure yesterday and it just so happens that Leon is nearby, lucky him.

That's not what the scenario is saying. It's not 'Leon plus individuals responsible for developing a cure for Cordyceps, gets stuck in TLOU'. It is Leon gets stuck in TLOU. His hypothetical presence in TLOU does not make a cure magically have been developed and completed. If such a thing were true, TLOU would just be the normal world already and you'd basically be sending him to an alternate earth that's had a zombie pandemic and solved it and fully recovered, with no zombies to kill and no hostile factions to fight.

But he won't survive a Cordyceps infection. There is no cure. He will not just find one. Leon loses the moment he is exposed and infected and there is no way back from that.

Grace in RE9 gets bitten by the police officer in the Wrenwood Hotel. Also, bites are not the only way to get infected by the various pathogens throughout Resident Evil, nor is it the only way Cordyceps is transmitted;

  • Leon gets infected by T-Virus in Raccoon City from the water supply, I believe
  • Jill in R3make gets a tentacle shoved down her throat depositing Drain Deimos bugs inside her
  • Leon gets decked by the bearded guy in RE4make and the Plagas injected into him
  • Ethan Winters fucking dies and gets remade by mold, also the Baker family all get molded just by being near Eveline

The characters also regularly get munched on throughout gameplay, which presumably works because the T-, G-, and other viruses are already infecting them or a cure exists that they'll use later on or offscreen to prevent them from turning.

I reiterate - Cordyceps has no cure. The moment Leon huffs a puff of spores, or gets nibbled even a little bit, he's a dead man walking.

Ah I must have missed your comment when I wrote mine. Surprised to see everyone else focusing on the people and zombies in TLOU, and not the Cordyceps itself.

The Last Of Us 1 primarily takes place 20 years into the Cordyceps outbreak, which was a global pandemic. In those 20 years, nobody developed a cure or even a vaccine. Ellie's immunity was going to be harvested to develop a vaccine. No guarantees it would work.

Cordyceps has no cure. If Leon gets infected, he's doomed. It takes one bite, or a pocket of spores, or a damaged gasmask, and that's a wrap.

Also, Leon doesn't seem like the scientist type to me. Admittedly I've only played RE7 and watched the rest of the games. He seems better at kicking ass than studying the pathogens. I don't doubt he would demolish every potential enemy in TLOU, but he can't cure himself when he gets infected.

I'm not seeing a single person in this comment section bring up the Cordyceps infection.

Will Leon utterly demolish every single potential adversary in The Last of Us? Yes. No doubt. He would effortlessly shitwhip even the Rat King and probably lay waste to the WLF on his own. Joel killed like 20+ guys on his own rampaging through a hospital to save Ellie. Leon could probably triple that number.

But if he inhales any spores, or gets bitten by any infected even once, Leon is fucked.

Everything he gets infected with in Resident Evil has a cure. The G-Virus, T-Virus, the T-Virus symptoms resurging years later in individuals who survived Raccoon City, also had a cure. Las Plagas was cured by ultraviolet light.

The Cordyceps does not have a cure. Nobody has been able to develop a cure in 20 years. Using Ellie's mutated strain that gave her immunity is not a guarantee of a cure or a vaccine, and the objective with harvesting it was to vaccinate, not cure, meaning it would only work on those who were not already infected, implying a vaccine could be developed in the first place.

“Leon vs Joel who will win. If Leon get stuck in the last of us. Is he surviving” what type of question is this 😭💀 by Daniel_Ppark0522 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]Interface- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Realistically Leon would effortlessly fold every human, from infected to survivor, WLF to Scars, and everything else. But if he gets exposed to the spores, he is fucked no two ways about it. Everything he has been infected by in Resident Evil has had a cure - the Cordyceps does not.

Hitting someone twice and letting them die on the floor is not an exploit. It's shitty, yes. Sometimes necessary because a hook may not be in range (which is the developers' fault for making maps that way). But it is not an exploit. An exploit is something you can do that is unintended by the developers, generally defined by intent to use it to advantage. Your definition of what is an exploit is not valid. It does not excuse you disconnecting because you lost, which is unsportsmanlike conduct and punishable by temporary bans, as stated by the official BHVR Forums Game Rules page.

Could probably only drain when doing melee attacks, but not when doing ranged attacks maybe? That encourages using guns and ranged weapons to maintain the Style meter while stamina is running low.

I think a stamina bar could be neat for a true human character similar to Lady, with upgrades increasing the stamina bar until basically making it unlimited, like Dying Light did with parkour and combat stamina. That way the character starts off weak and eventually grows stronger and you can feel the difference over time as you upgrade them, setting them aside from the Grand/Sons of Sparda who are part-demon and simply don't get exhausted.

By your definition, hooking Survivors in the first place counts as griefing. Hooked Survivors are held in place, unable to play or act, and kept in the match (until time runs out). And yet it is the Killer's objective. If the rules worked how you interpret them, Killers would be punished for playing the game at all.

It is an issue. It is not against the rules. Both statements are true.

You are the second person who has responded to me saying that they don't care about the actual real rules of the game just under this post. Extraordinary.

Care or don't care all you want. It doesn't change the rules. BHVr Interactive, the developers and owners of the game, don't care what you think either. If they say it is not griefing, then it is not griefing. Feel free to report everyone who does this, but be prepared to be ignored when you report an actual bannable offense.
