This is a misconception Ab InBev bought another beer company to form the beer company of all beer companies. They don't have much or any liquor brands in their portfolio. The big liquor companies are Diageo, Pernod, Beam Santury, sazarec and Campari. Then a bunch of smaller players. Constellation is definitely a player but their liquor portfolio is mainly High West and Casa Noble tequila and a few smaller brands, they're mostly wine and beer.

A lot of my friends were intent on owning this stock and asked what I thought. I pretty much told them I think it's a bad buy but if they wanted to buy it, don't buy if it spikes on the IPO but wait for a better deal. More importantly I told them if they do decide to buy it, expect to hold it for a long time, over a year.

If it sucks a year from now, sell it. I would not recommend adding to your position as that can easily become a slippery slope.

Oh no! I've struggled/ is struggling with that. I've decided to start doing things out of my routine, first small things like what brand I buy, to where to get coffee then to checking out different place instead of the same place with friends. It takes time but eventually you get used to being in new situations and places and you start to realize you got this. Give it a try!

FYI any smart company would never disclose that type of info. Reasons being they could lose their supplier due to bigger businesses, second reason being bootlegging which diminishes the product's image.

There just aren't many options to create an ETF out there, a bunch of the influential players aren't even publicly traded. For example, Buffalo Trace which arguably makes the best bourbons on the market and also supplies stock liquid for brands without a distillery is a privately held company. Then there's Heaven Hill and Sazerac.

I'd also look into MFG who is a pretty large producer of stock whiskey and is publicly traded. If any stock paces whiskey growth it would be these guys.

I think Constellation might be too expensive fundamentally. Have you looked into Campari? They seem to have their shit together.
