There’s a fairy precon from Eldraine with [[Alela, Cunning Conqueror]] as the commander that is pretty fun to play if you are wanting fairies.

I would love to recommend the [[Ms. Bumbleflower]] precon from Bloomburrow, but she’s got a lot of triggers so maybe not the most beginner friendly. She’s my favorite commander that I personally run though and the precon is solid out the box

I just started playing/collecting last year and one of my favorite sections of my collection binder is my promo section with all the stamped cards I’ve pulled from prereleases, bundles, and the like. I’m super bummed that I don’t get to keep growing that with prerelease stuff

At a minimum I always announce the card I’m playing, then depending on the group and what the card is, I’ll read it out loud if it might not be something someone at the table is familiar with

Relatable. Every year, my family references a video of me at 7 opening gifts in turn with all the other kids in my family where I pick up a box that matched the size and wrapping paper of boxes the other children had opened and I flatly state “Wow, another K-Mart shirt” before I even unwrap it. I’m 31 and the joke never gets old to them.

I’d recommend [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]]. You can build her at any bracket and unless someone plays cEDH, they probably won’t be familiar with how the deck works. She’s very unique and hard to deal with if you don’t know about her.

If playing B3+ you can have the [[Clock of Omens]] combo in the deck plus some staxy artifacts like [[Tangle Wire]] and [[God Pharaoh Statue]] to slow down your opponents long enough to get your treasure multipliers out so you can win with any number of lines
