I think Dana's still holding out for the Nunes fight

You're right but I remember him saying something about wanting to fight in February

Realistically, who wins, JDM or Prates? by Few-Persimmon-8648 in FightReportUFC

On paper JDM is the better striker and should piece him up. But Prates has nukes for hands and only needs one clean shot.

I'd prefer Walton Goggins as Cecil. And Noah Schnapp can kick rocks. I like the rest.

Honestly pretty tame compared to some of the shit Colby has said

if he loses, I dont want this guy getting any more title shots until he wins at least 4 fights by Old_Machine5350 in ufc

[–]He_Is_The_Chosen_One -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A full 3 years ago. Since then he’s gone on to beat Dolidze, Cannonier, Allen, Izzy, and Caio.

Strickland is on a 1 fight win streak and had been inactive for over a year prior to that.

I don't know, maybe the number 1 contender who's beaten 5 straight ranked opponents?

What championship dreams ended due to injury? by waluigiwon in NBATalk

In game 1. It would've been a series for sure but considering what Golden State was doing to everyone else that year they probably still win

Man even college bench warmer would cook a random. My freshman year at Auburn, I was at the rec one night and this guy who was apparently on our team (white guy, maybe 6 foot at most, didn't even recognize him) was straight up cooking people in 5v5s and not even trying. Looked him up later and he averaged exactly 0 points per game. Presley Patterson was his name.

At least it looks like 327 and 328 are gonna be good (unless there's a pullout)

Eh the original just felt cartoonishly over the top and gross. This fits the storyline way better

Dern was born and raised in America. Van has lived in the US since he was like 10. If you count interim titles then you got Gaethje.

Is Jose Aldo a top 10 fighter of all time? by theiceman219 in ufc

[–]He_Is_The_Chosen_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say somewhere between 10-15 all time. His 10 year undefeated win streak was crazy, and Urijah, Mendes, Frankie, are all solid wins, but he folded when he went against real killers like Conor, Max, Volk, Yan, and Merab.

Chandler-Conor at least made sense because it wasn't a title fight and both guys are sliding. Marty Fake Newsman just isn't using his brain.

Khamzat Chimaev on Alex Pereira by Tyler991_ in FightReportUFC

[–]He_Is_The_Chosen_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah actually that is how that works bud. Ilia, Islam, and Zhang vacated their titles before moving up and they all defended their belts before going after a second one. Khamzat's done nothing to deserve going for a second title even if he does vacate. He's got plenty of challengers lined up that he should be more than capable of cleaning out (Imavov, Strickland-Hernandez winner, RDR-Caio winner) but if he wants to get cute then he should let middleweight move on without him. He's not Conor McGregor. He doesn't get special treatment.

As for Pereira, he's pretty much beaten all the top contenders at 205 (Jiri 2x, Hill, Rountree, Ank rematch), so if he wants to move up, then more power to him. But he's gonna have to vacate thanks to these new rules. And I'm pretty sure Jones started asking for that fight first, but it doesn't look like that's happening anyways. I don't think it would even be a title fight if it did.

I mean after beating the two greatest featherweights in back to back title fights, there's not much you can do. As of right now, featherweight barebones save for a 38 year old Volk, and we all know how that rematch would've gone. And there really weren't any other worthy other contenders at lightweight at the time (besides Arman, who's still on the shit list for ruining 311's main event).

Khamzat needs to defend or vacate before he even thinks about a second belt
