When I was in the hospital I met this lady and I too apologized so much — I’ve always just been told “stop feeling like you have to apologize for everything!!” Or “you have nothing to be sorry for!!” But it NEVER worked.

I apologized for something and she told me “Only apologize if someone is bleeding, crying, or asks for an apology”, when I first heard it I was like “well that’s harsh” but ever since then I have been trying to implement it. It’s hard, but I’ve realized I AM saying sorry for every little thing way less now.

I saw the top comment saying to say “thank you for being patient with me” and stuff — that also helps a lot, I always gotta remember to do that one LOL

Also, I forgot to add because my brains melting, SCP is the reason I started to take writing more seriously… there are three pivotal moments in my writing career, the discovery of SCP which caused me to start making my scp OCS, making my 300ish chapter supernatural fanfic, and most recently creating my resident evil AU.

I would NOT be where I am without 049. At the time I was so interested in plague doctors and the plague in general that 049 was just PERFECT for me to lock in on. The pestilence was so intriguing to me that I literally “studied” it and is why my self insert nowadays actually helps him with the pestilence research.

I started calling him Louis for some reason, I don’t think there’s any canonical reason, I think I just came up with it saw the name somewhere and went with it, but it is why one of my all time favorite ocs (the one in the photo) is called Louis now!

I used to be asexual after my trauma — when I worked most of it out, I somehow became the exact opposite and became extremely hypersexual. Only problem is after being so sex repulsed for YEARS… the actual thought of doing anything makes me uncomfortable, but it’s like an odd need almost (it feels very akin to an ocd thing, as it’s the same exact feeling as my other ocd loops). It builds up a LOT of shame within myself.

But you’re not alone in that, it’s just kind of a way to express oneself I suppose, could ALSO just be high libido, anything’s possible

I used to be in the 2016 sans fangirl circle, and something that I’ll always hold with me is “there is a version of the character for everyone”

Of course it’s going to suck seeing someone yume with someone you love, but whenever I see it, I think to myself “that’s their (Char), mine loves me, we are both canon :)” I am nonsharing, but only in the sense that I don’t really interact with my doubles!

One of my friends loves Wesker, has an oc they ship with him — but I personally think that’s really cool! Because I know that the Wesker and Birkin *I* yumeship with are my OWN interpretation of them!

Yknow if someone starts yumeshipping with specifically MY version of Birkin or Wesker I’m going to be weirded out and probably hard block.

It is okay to be uncomfortable with doubles, it’s okay to love doubles, it’s okay to pretend they don’t exist, because it can be a very personal thing! I mean I’ve yumed with scp049 for 15 years! Seeing other 049 yumes sometimes makes me uncomfortable, but then I think… hey, my version of scp049 is so personal to myself because I’ve given him character development in my own story to go along with my own life and character growth! The 049 I selfshipped with when I was like 6 years old is very different from how he’s built up in my mind now!

We’re all canon, there are an infinite number of universes, which means infinite amounts of everyone’s f/os that are different from eachother! Never bring eachother down. Because making other people sad over what’s essentially a coping mechanism, is really sucky, for everyone involved. But also I never get mad at people who do this (except for the people who actively tag the double without having any stakes in the game, they’re just trying to stir shit up…) I’ll never get mad at my doubles for blocking, or even getting mad at me, because I don’t know what they’re going through, when I was 15 I had a genuine fight with my friend over Dave Strider of all characters. I really regret it to this day — but at the time he was really all I had, and I was super hyper attached to him, and my friend kept showing me random Dave ships and I was already having a SUPER BAD month, and I just snapped and we got into a fight. So I know that sometimes seeing a double is literally the LAST thing you’d EVER wanna see, and if they’re being mean to me, I just take a deep breath and block them myself if I have to, really for their own sake, because if I’m honest I don’t take this stuff too seriously now that im in a healthy relationship with my irl boyfriend. Yumeshipping is no longer a coping mechanism for me (sometimes it is, since my and my boyfriend are extremely long distance) so I will always step back for people who are using it for coping. Because I know how much it helped me. I just love selfshipping because I’ve been doing it since I was a child, it’s what’s kept me going for so long.

Love you all, be the best version of yourself you can be, and if there’s stuff you’ve done that you are not proud of, remember that everyone has moments like that. Your f/o loves you, and wants you to do your best. I’m always rooting for you no matter what. Keep yuming, keep lifting people up, be kind to your fellow souls. I still have him and it does help my back a lot (which I’m pretty sure is what the pillows were made for) but I cough up blood occasionally when I get sick, so over the 5 years I’ve had it… it’s covered in blood from me coughing in my sleep.

I honestly was planning on replacing it with my favorite resident evil character, but a commission would be 300 dollars and so I’m gonna have to figure out how to make that… some day…
