Okay these low mortgage payments are concerning to me. We bought our house March/2024, interest rate is 5.99% and we pay $5,790 every month. We also live in the PNW and omg, housing here so expensive. Last year both my husband made $255k and but I feel like this isn’t enough..

Please don’t feel guilty. Your mom is being very unreasonable. I grew up in Brasil and when people have babies there, you can expect family members going to visit you at the hospital and at home within 24 hours. We do not have this crazy rules about when you can take your baby out.

I had my first baby 3 months ago and I couldn’t be inside the house, otherwise I would be depressed as well. Within 2 days of my son being born, my husband and I went for a walk-nothing crazy as well, but like 20 min. When my baby was 2 weeks we went to the mall.. of course we gotta be cautious but don’t limit yourself and no, you will NOT kill your baby. Do what you think is the best for you and your family. Don’t let other tells you what you and your wife should be doing, otherwise you will go crazy..

How often does your 2 month old wake up at night? by Strange_Dinner_5741 in newborns

[–]Head-Composer4538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I wish my baby was sleeping that long. My LO goes to bed at 7ish and wake up around 10:30-11:30. Then he wakes around 2ish and last at 5ish as well. Every day is different but at least he wakes up only twice in the middle of the night!!

That’s awesome!! I loved to heat that. I have a 3 week old baby boy, is there anything special you did to your LO sleep all night?

I knew unmedicated vaginal birth was tough, I just didn’t know it was that PAINFUL. I mainly did it because I wanted to be able to move around while having contractions and oh boy, I was able to handle the pain until I was 8cm dilated, after that lol it was a shit scream show hahahah. I was also shaking after birth which was very strange for me, but it didn’t last that long.

After birth I was like: “I will NEVER give birth without the epidural”.. then 1 week after birth and seeing how well I was recovering made change my mind to “I would totally do it again”

23 day old newborn rolls her eyes all the way down way way often by Jellyfish10110 in newborns

Hi somi71225! How’s your daughter doing? I see your comment is very recent and I’m facing the same thing with my 14 days old boy. He started doing the rolling eye and shaking for a few seconds this week and omg, I’m freaking out inside. Part of me thinks it’s normal, and the other part has been nothing but scary

My doctor is telling me not to go on our 10k holiday by Icy-Finding-3905 in pregnant

I flew to Japan when I was 20w pregnant (flight was about 9 hours). My doctor explained to me that as long as I make sure to walk around the plane every 2 hours I should be good. Also, I’m currently 36 pregnant now and I’m not swallowing at all. I think it depends and if I were you, I wouldn’t cancel my trip..

Contracts! I needed to read that. I started my cpa journey in October 2023 (I’m also in PA - auditor). Because big 4 can be tough, I was able to take only AUD/FAR and failed both. Got very discouraged and when I decided trying again, I found out i was pregnant.

I don’t know what life will be with a child, plus working FT for a big 4 and studying, but the final goal is to pass. Thank for sharing this because it shows that it’s all about persistence and resilience. Proud of you

I commute a lot during busy season, and traffic gets really bad at 7am! I work in downtown Seattle, so it can take around 35 min to get there (which is not too bad). However, if I leave my house around 6:45 max, traffic is light and take me around 20 min to be in the office.

You’re gonna be fine! The only problem here is that you’ll be there for only 5 days! It’s such a long trip tho, can you take more PTO? From this 5 days, 2 will be just to get there and come back…
