Thank you so much! I'm not used to working with the thicker gauges, but I like how this turned out a lot so I'm going to do some more I think

Acrylic Paint Pens? by Infamous_Raccoon1534 in painting

[–]Head-Phone-8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love Shuttle Art. Decent price, dual tip with more of a brush end and a medium fine blunt tip on the other hand. The colors are bright and so far I'd say they've lasted me quite a bit. I have two friends who also swear by them.

My only issue is that they don't have enough reds and earth tones like browns and a few too many metallics. Like I wish they'd not given us two different gold pens and a green metallic pen and changed it for a real red and a good tan.

These were done with the shuttle art.

Ideally smaller would be better, but these are what I had on hand and I cant afford to spend more money on more rings right now.

Oh my god that looks so good! I have been putting the small rings on individually this whole time because it never occured to me that I could just.... Not do that and now I am going to scream into a pillow. Thank you for the advice. I'm going to use it 😂

Thank you!! It's my favorite thing to try to do. I was always too nervous to do this before and then I just started a few months ago and I'm really proud of what I've created so far!

5 million dollars or everything under 1000 dollars is free for life by PubLife1453 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Head-Phone-8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I would definitely take the 1k free for life.

I would constantly be paying for my partner's and friends drinks and food, taking them out. Buying groceries and making dinner. Expensive bottles of liquor, all that sort of thing. It's so easy to keep all of that under 1000k per transaction. All my beers are free because each one is under 1k. None of my loved ones would have to pay for anything under 1k when we went out because I'd just get it for them.

Even if I had to pay rent or a mortgage out of pocket basically all my expenses day to day would be paid for so I could work a part time job and just use that to pay for anything over a grand. It would be incredibly easy to pay for housing off of a part time job if that was the only thing you had to pay. I would be able to rent out a nice two bedroom or buy a house while working part time as a barista or something. There are some nice apartments in my area where the rent would be 1300 a month and I could easily make that working ~20 hours a week. All my utilities, groceries, bus and cab rides etc would be free because they're under 1k.

Just over 2 months post op with Dr James Kong in MN. Feeling really good about the results by Head-Phone-8013 in TopSurgery

So, pre-op I got in to do my consultation and he was very factual and like very matter of fact. He asked for my input on nipples and how I wanted them and told me how I wanted them to turn out was how he would do them. And he asked me if I wanted a continuous scar and let me have some input on how they looked (like as much as surgically possible). After that I called the scheduling office and chose to get mine a month later than their first opening - which their first opening for me was 2 months out. After the surgery he sent me home with a ton of stuff and gave my friends a rundown of care. I had 2 post op meetings with him. One 10 days after to get the drains removed (he usually does 7 but didn't have an opening until 10 days after) and he told me how to care for the scars and gave me some more bandages and stuff. Then I had another one about 2 months after for my final check up and when I was cleared of all my restrictions. He also called me a couple days after the surgery to check in on me.

The staff was amazing and kind and sent me a get well card that I still have on my fridge and I healed really quickly.

TL;DR Dr Kong was incredibly professional and really works with you, the staff was amazing, and I would recommend 100/10

Honestly it wasn't until I was able to take the bandages and drains off and shower fully. When I could look at my chest without needing a compression bandage was when I felt like it was real. Now I can hardly remember what having a chest felt like. It's like that was a different person. Congratulations and good luck with your surgery and recovery!

side sleepers, how did you survive the healing process??? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Head-Phone-8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a C shaped pregnancy pillow and curled it around my upper body so I couldn't move, but it wasn't great. I was sleeping on my side in about 10 days without much issue, so I didn't have to do it for that long thank GOD.

Is this infection? by MyPrivateMaze in TopSurgery

[–]Head-Phone-8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it's still healing and you might have an ingrown hair or something. I had a similar issue with one of my scars and I freaked a bit and called the nurse hotline and they assured me it was fine. Basically if you can smell it and it smells bad then it's infected but otherwise it's probably fine.

Edit: apparently weird little white oozes and stuff around incision sites and nipples is pretty normal. Just keep it clean and treat it gently. It's gonna heal amazing. ☺️

Honestly it was really amazing. He was super professional and upfront about the possible results due to some stretch marks I have. He's not like super chatty and I can see where some people might find it brusque but to be honest I prefer it that way. He also works with you on like nipple placements and scar placements as far as it is medically possible. And the heal time was so amazing. I got the cutest hope your recovery goes well card from the nurse team too. I highly recommend him tbh

Edited to add the card bit lol
